I'm looking at the Blackberry wireless phones and wondered if anybody has one and could share their opinions on them with me?
Thanks maggie.

My wife is addicted to her Blackberry, but doesn't use the phone feature. She has a separate cell phone, but relies on Blackberry email for business.

Sarah has actually gotten relatively quick with her thumbs, but there are usually more typos than when she's using all fingers. I would not put together a resume on a Crackberry

I'm embarassed to admit that I do not know what a blackberry does. I can barely handle my cell phone, I can never remember to turn the stupid thing on, and when I do, I forget to turn it off and the battery runs down.
So I guess I don't deserve this blackberry thing if I can't handle the cell.

LOL Tom! Great link!
I have heard that the Blackberry wireless is causing thumb injuries and aggravating arthritis. (no joke)
I'm with Caroline on barely managing the cell phone. I have a Motorola cell phone and I will never be able to use all of the bells and whistles..one of my sons sent me a picture with text...I have no clue how to do that!

Caroline,
Some people use their Blackberries as phones, PDAs, for stock quotes (and baseball scores), and email.
In my wife's case, she has hers through the company, so they have a very integrated system: her Blackberry is synched wirelessly with her Lotus Notes. So, she gets her email wherever she is, her calendar (maintained by her secretary/Lotus Notes) is up-to-date, and the company's address book is also kept current and accurate without her having to enter phone numbers. It does not work that well with attachments, nor is the web interface that good.
It is a blessing and a curse. It allows us to go places on the weekend even if something "important" is happening that Sarah needs to be keeping an eye on. She has 165 people with a solid reporting line to her, and countless others with a dotted line, so it isn't unusual that she has to be able to read emails on a weekend or evening. OTOH, it means that it is difficult to really get away. One reason we like Saint Martin so much for our vacations is that its cell coverage is weak During our vacations, her secretary guards the hotel phone number, and only calls if something is happening that Sarah really needs to get involved in. Good gatekeeper
