I have Jadite plates and there is like a film on them. Maybe from the dishwasher. Any ideas on how to get it off??

You most likely won't get it off. What you're seeing is the result of dishwasher corrosion of the finish. Some soaps are so powerful that repeated use etches the surface of glass. I see it alot in glassware.
