I use Norton 2005.
I updated recently (like Norton told me to through their website).
After this update, it took out my spyware, which had been working fine before the update.
Now it says my spyware "needs attention".
When I go to a website to download a free spyware, the website has a lot of little boxes with red x's in them, so I really can't tell what I am downloading because of all the little boxes.
Does anyone out there know what I need to do to get my spyware back? Thanks for all your help. Please use easy terminology. I don't know a lot about computers.

Hello,
I am not sure what Norton 2006 has on it but Virus protection, Pop up protection and spy ware protection are NOT the same. You need three programs whether bundled as one or separate.
Your problem is not pop up or spy ware (Which are just unwanted cookies), but either is a virus or more likely computer problems.
Run virus scan then the next thing always is to cold boot, in that shut everything down including modem etc, wait five min for static charge to dissipate and reboot. That fixes 90 % of the problems. If that don't do it scan for virus again and then is shop time unless you know how to repair your software (Which might be the problem)
Good luck
