Hi All,
I am finally interested on working with DSI, the Insurance. Can anyone give me input on their services? Any problems that you've experienced.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Rosanne

Hi Roseanne. Dont know where you are, but if you have Verizon, they are offering DSL (plus a bundle deal with phone service) which also comes with a fully functional MSN account (that has loads of extras) for 29.95 a month. I think thats a good deal.

Some people do not read do they. I have used DSI for about a year with only 2 claims & they were paid promptly. Most of my sales are fro $15.00 to $100.00 so my cost are low. If I ship by fedEx, I don;'t have buy extra insurance umless the value is over $100.00. I just sold a widget for $212.00 & you bet bought insurance for that. DSI is underwritten St. Paul Fire & Marine, one of the oldest biggest insurers in the USA.

Mamachia, We've used DSI for about a year now and we can't say enough good things about them. They're very responsive - and also have the ability to file a claim electronically - even attaching scanned proof and the signed forms so you don't have to wait for the mail.

I've only ever had one claim - for about $35 or so - and they paid it off in about 7-8 days if I remember correctly.

If you want to help me out a bit, you can use this link and I'll get a spiff for sending you there. -- http://www.dsiinsurance.com/transfer.asp?refId=112

For that consideration, I'd be willing to help answer any additional questions you might have -- like how to get better rates after using them for about 3 months or so...

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Kind regards,

Wayne

Glassgrl,

Spiff = money, incentive, consideration, green, moolah, etc.

Again, don't mean to ask for something without providing value in return... We lowered our DSI costs after about 3 months with them and I'll help Mamachia learn the in's and out's if asked.

Nothing but good things to say about DSI.

You can even email the customer support and get an answer pretty quickly...sometimes within the hour.

For claims you can email a form to the buyer they can then email it back to you or in my case if they have a fax I have them print it out and fax it to me....then I just fax to DSI. About a week later you have a check in the mail.

I've had 3 claims in the last 6 months for small amounts (around $30.00) ...they do pay very quickly.

YES, I did edited it since I didn't want any info on DSL service. thank you, though, it was very thoughtful of you. I am connected to Time Warner's cable, it works fine.

I had never heard of this program, so I was thinking DSL as well - and I'm not even a natural blonde, but I do have some blonde tendencies. Like after a few hundred posts, I just now noticed the spell checker button here when I tried to put in tendencies!

Well I am not a blonde but my kids tell me that I am deep down. I just say that I am just plain and simple "SPACEY". I just have too much on my plate and over 50(that is my excuse and I am sticking to it)
I don't remember the private insurance company name except I just remember DSI not DSL.

I just wanted to know if it was an easy company to deal with, had anyone experience any problems with them.

Was the process simple or do I have to be a rock scientist??

Just call them them and they will ask you question about your shipping volume and the type of items you mail...etc... Then they will compute their numbers and get back to you with a price. Mine is low at $.35 per $100 because of my volume and that my items are mostly books and clothing....not a lot of breakables.
