I don't get it - I had an "administrative bid caoncellation" . The buyer has 100% feedback - 628 unique positives and over a 1,000 total. There is no indication that there were any problems and it seems that the item he was bidding on is the type of item he buys (not a hi-jacked account). - sounds like an administrative SNAFU to me!!

All it takes is three people to file NPB on them.

I never leave negative feedback since that won't get them NARU'd anyway.

Edited to add:

Or, if they also sell, they may be behind in Ebay fees.

So many sellers are afraid to leave Negative feedback and most don't even file NPB. It makes the feedback system worthless. If sellers only leave positive feedback why have a feedback system?

It's also possible that he had medical problems, etc and requested a hold on his account by eBay and causing an administrative cancellation. It could even be as simple as not updating the credit card on file because it expired. I doubt its sinister.
Although........I do remember a couple of times where there were some really high feedback buyer/sellers who went off the deep end with selling and not shipping and ended up in all sorts of problems.

"If sellers only leave positive feedback why have a feedback system?"
Because unlike buyers, sellers are trying to make money and neg's means bad reputation or at least an attitude, so buyers pass over. Why else would sellers have a different ID to buy off of Ebay?

I agree the feedback system is poor but is a fact of life not soon to change so most of us "RETURN" feedback. As a seller preserving your reputaion is important selling tool.

He probably forgot to update a change of an email address or a phone number.

Looks like it was something like contact info or something (he isn' a seller) - he's back and bid again. 0 FB buyers with 90+ bid retractions don't get NARU'd but GOOD buyers do!
