These marks are on the rear legs of two brass Shi Shi dogs that were purchased in India. Can anyone tell me what they say? Thanks...

It says "He who tries to make a living on E-Bay is nuts."

I wouldn't dream of trying to live on my eBay sales...but it does provide a nice little cushion to my retirement check. Besides, I'm still having lots of fun. Anyone have any other ideas as to what this writing means? Thanks...

blue eyes, I had a wonderful pair of Chinese urns last year. I knew they were old and wonderful, that was it ... I spent some time looking at oriental vases on ebay and found someone who was in China and agreed to look at the marks for me and translate them. They were very nice and very helpful. I would try that method you may find a person who is willing to help. There certainly are a lot of Chinese ebay members now. Hope this helps.

Good idea...might give that a try. I was hoping one of the characters might give a date.

It doesn't look like Kanji, Japanese or Chinese because the stroke order appears backward.
