Can anyone tell me where to purchase the exact type of ladie's wire blouse/top form as seen in the following two separate ebay ads:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-Curvy-Wisteria-Victorian-Lace-Ruffle-Twist-Top-M_W0QQitemZ5426162965QQcategoryZ63868QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-DEEP-PINK-Ruffle-Crochet-RIBBON-Sweater-Duster-M-L_W0QQitemZ5427115507QQcategoryZ63866QQcmdZViewItem

I have emailed both sellers directly and asked, but have gotten no replies.

I need this type of form because it appears as though it hangs flat against a wall, and yet has some bustline definition.

Currently we are using full-size mannequins, which, unfortunately, when photographed, show up quite white and bright, and make our pictures somewhat blurry-looking.

Any help ANYONE can provide, would be greatly appreciated. Either posted here, or else emailed directly to [email protected].

Thanks much in advance to all!

Have a great weekend!

Bruce

Hi Bruce
I just looked at the auction with the wire form. We have something similiar, and I think the company has more (not sure). Ours cost $30 I think. It has bendable arm snd legs, and we use it for childrens jackets, not sure if they sell adult ones, or if the one I have would do well with adult shirts, it may. you can email me by clicking on name. We are leaving right now, but will be back tonight.

Thanks, and yes, I would be interested in seeing what it is you have.

However, what I am really looking for is the one in the two ebay ads I posted. It appears that form has no arms, but only a defined bust and waist (hour-glass type figure), and hangs flat against a wall.

Thanks!

Bruce

Also try Farkas Store Fixtures in San Diego. You may need to call them. I can't find their number right now but you should be able to find it online. They are on 10th Ave downtown.

I just asked the seller through ask a seller a question where they got the form from.I'll let you know if or when they e-mail me back. I looked all over Yahoo and eBay for one but unless you know what to call the dang thing you'd be looking forever

Thanks much! I really appreciate it!

I did just order someting from Frakas Fixtures, but it is on a stand. And the one I am searching for is displayed hanging, like in the ebay ads in question.

Much obliged. Can't wait to hear if you get a reply.

I'm looking for something that is free standing that fits baby and children's clothes. Anybody know where I can find something like that? I would also like for it to have a head as I make alot of bonnets and hats.

Diane:

You might try checking out Farkas Fixtures. It was suggested to me earlier, and I think they might have what you're looking for.

That frame looks like something that could be hand made using aluminum clothes line wire.

I thought so, too. But since several ebay sellers are using this type, it must be mass-manufactured and sold by someone.

Just wish someone would tell me by who.

This was on one of the sites glassgrl gave - wasn't exactly like the one pictures, but a great deal for $13 and hangs with the shape to it. I might get one even though I only sell clothes every once in awhile:

I bought that exact form at a flea market for $5.00. What a great investment that was. I was having a hard time selling women's clothing, but when I place the item on this form, it sells! I guess it gives the buyer a better idea of how the item looks on. I don't sell clothing that much, but when I do, I sure pull this form out and use it.

When I sell hats, I use a wig form. Actually have a wicker one with long neck as well as long necked foam head. Then I found a good wig at yard sale, washed it and keep it on the form. Hats look pretty good on her. Must be. Just sold 2 today that I had zip in and got about $25 and $50 respectively. Ruthie

do I win the prize?

It's not the hanging one but it was the ONLY one I could find similar. They could probably sell you the hanging one if you asked.

Heck - start selling them on Ebay!!

(what did I win?)
