Have sales picked up for everyone (anyone)?
Mine are a little better than the summer but they could only go up...but still not selling a bunch.

I have to say the did really well the last two weeks...lots of watchers and multi bids. This week is looking slow but I don't really have anything good listed.

The past two weeks have been really slow for me. However, most of my customer base is college age people, and back to school time always hits me pretty hard.
Early summer and Pre-Christmas are my best times, with the back-to-school slump right in the middle.

They absolutely stink! I'm hoping they pick up this week - I have some great stuff listed with no reserves on them. Last week my auctions were at $810 total for all ending that day. I expected to get up and see about $1,100 total with most paid by Paypal, which has been the norm.
Total only came to $875 and only had one immediate Paypal payment. I am just not seeing the last minute bidding that I have in the past.
I decided to stagger the start times so I have auctions ending 3 days/week instead one 1 - hoping that drives the sales a bit with all those link to view other items in my descriptions.
I'm hoping that since Rita didn't wipe Texas off the map like some were worried about, things may pick up a bit.

They are definitely down for me since Labor Day weekend - As far as auction sales go. Store sales are almost on a record pace for me, I've modified my strategy recently to put more items in the store and run fewer auctions. So far, so good though my sellthrough definitely is way down. It will pick up though. Amazon has been really good for me too, just ebay auctions are down.

I've had both ends of the spectrum; "good" stuff seems to be doing better than I thought it would, but the low end doesn't seem to get the bidders juiced up.
All in all, it has gone well since I resumed auctions on Labor Day.

It seems a lot of people are having great success with stores. I am wondering if that is the way to go and just list a few auctions to drive people to my store. I had one once and didn't do so good but that was a couple of years ago. I really need to get rid of some inventory and would like to make some decent money on it instead of just giving it away.
the eBay stores have changed dramatically for the better in the last year or so. the bulk of my sales come from mine. i'll run the occasional auction, but not that many. you might want to give it a try again. just "park" the stuff there and it'll sell eventually, if you have good pictures, descriptions, fair shipping, etc. http://stores.ebay.com/postcards-postcards?refid=store http://www.vintagepostcards.org

I agree store sales are better than ever. I have the basic $15.95 per month store. I only run two or three auctions at any given time to drive traffic to my store items.
Here are a couple of past threads that have some good information on how to boost your store sales and custom create your own internal search of store items. I find that even with the store categories on the left, the category is too broad.
