bought an item from the UK.Won the item for about 24GBP guess what the shipping is now almost 59GBP a total of 83 GBP or about $162. While the auction was going on it listed shipping etc for foreign countries the US was among, now that the auction has closed I can find none of this in the description.

What can I do I don't mine paying for the item but $120 for shipping is outrageous. What are your suggestions vendio users?

How heavy is the item? Shipping from the UK is absurdly expensive.

I was trying to import some item from a maker in the UK - turns out than even with the discount of buying direct from the manufacturer, it was cheaper to buy from a distributor here in the US after I figured in shipping.

I agree, shipping to & from UK is really high. I sent 2 boxes of china to Staffordshire, the cost of the china was $40.00, the shipping was $91.0

The UK just raised their postal charges - they are quite high. Try estimating it yourself using their postal calculator:

If it's way out of line, ask the seller what shipping method they're using and suggest the cheaper method you found.

How can the terms of the auction disappear as soon as the auction ends? Do the people who list on Ebay-UK have the ability to revise the text after the auction ends? If so, I would think it would be a scammers paradise and avoid it like the plague.
