Ahhh frustrating! For the 2nd time in 3 months I'm going to JUST miss making the low level Powerseller.

I realize there are still 2 days left in the month but MAN. The first two weeks of September were amazing, I did really well and then it petered off a bit. If it had continued to go strong like the beginning of the month I'd have done it!'

I know people say Powerseller is no big deal but this has been what I thought was an unreachable goal of mine when I began selling last year and now twice i've come so so very close.

*sigh*

Put up a few "fixed price" (not store or BIN auctions) items with a short duration. You can make it if you want to!

That's all I sell are fixed price items ~

I rarely run auctions as these keep me pretty busy. I sell quite a bit out of my store as well. I just never seem to make it to the very last part of the month making what I need to make!

Dang Girl, you have been busy with over 900 items in your store.
How do you do it with working 2 jobs and raising a daughter??

When I relist I also put the item in my store ~ they are very easy to keep up in there and since I make what I sell, the descriptions are all the same except for one or two words. It's not that difficult for me to do that part!

I'm down to one job again though. We moved in with my boyfriend and he didnt' like me working at that convenience store so I'm down to my fun and favorite job...and of course, eBay!

You'll get there one of these months Helga! Replay's idea of running some FP listings is a good one if you REALLY want to get there - as you no doubt are aware, your store listings do not appear in a regular search and the FP would appear.

Next month try running some more auctions along with your 900 store listings (with prominent links to your store) and I'll bet you'll make it! I notice that you don't use the gallery view for your store very often - perhaps using that more often would increase your sales. I don't think the gallery is worth 35 cents (or whatever ebay is charging these days) in most cases, but I do think it is worth a penny. Your fabrics are really eyecatching!

Neglus I do have about...40 fixed price listings right now, the regular ones, not just store listings. even when it was slow through the summer I ran some fixed price listings as I know the store stuff doesn't come up in searchs (unless it's something like the Autism one since there aren't any others like that out there).

I used Gallery on some of the items in my store but I haven't used it on all of them. I always forget when I'm relisting because my pictures are done on another website that has to be open when I'm relisting. I'll make a note to make sure I'm using that more often when I'm listing items in my store.

I was just going to suggest sending some 2nd Chance Offers to increase your sales level. But since you only sell fixed priced items, that suggestion won't do you much good.

You'll get there. Same thing happened to me basically at some point, I was really close every month. Now, I qualify for powerseller as my ebay fees each month are the minimum for powerseller status lol

The one thing I find odd is that I actually have 2 PS accounts, one with half.com - My half sales are pretty much dead at this point, maybe $300 a month on average. I've moved most items away from there as they pretty much killed it - Yet, I still maintain powerseller status even though the last time I made more than $1000 a month in sales there was well over a year ago...

I was a Power Seller for years, but found in the last year or so, trying to keep up with web sites, and other auction sites, trying to keep a Power Seller status on eBay just wasn't worth the work - in fact it was too costly in time and money.

glassgrl you will kill me but I STILL have not listened to the tapes you sent me and right now they are packed in a box in storage! When we moved in with my boyfriend we went from a 3 bedroom apartment to a 4 room trailer so we had to compact. My eBay fabric had to come with me (much to his chagrin!) so there isnt' much room for us!

I'm sure that maintaining Powerseller status is hard work but I've come so close quite a few times now...it's just a goal I've had to accomplish it, even if it's just for a short period of time, would be a big deal for me!

toasted things are much better for us now. We are happy and content for the first time in what I believe to be years and years.

Is there any way you can expand your product line??

Like book covers or better yet Bible covers.

Bibles do come in many shapes and sizes but from what I remember from going to church as a kid there was one particular SIZE that almost everyone had. I know there would be the vinyl covers available that you can fashion into something sellable.

lovepotions ~

No I can't do bible covers or bookcovers. I can't sew worth a dang so there is no way for me to do that.

I started only with checkbook covers and have expanded to sets, calendars, bookmarks, etc.

Last day of the month and I'm a bit over $100 away.
