I've looked all over the MLB.com site, but all they have right now are the playoff dates. I'm sure the world series dates are already in place but can't find that info anywhere. Anyone? (I don't want to end some of my listings during a hot game.)

Roady - Baseball playoffs take 6 months... they are nearly as bad as Hockey and they are only looking at the beginning of the first round.
You have a few weeks : )

Thanks, deur. I already had the playoffs schedules. I seemed to remember that last year the World Series schedule was set in stone 'way ahead of even the playoffs. That's why I was hoping to get those particular dates. Trying to schedule some auctions ahead of time, but I guess I'll wait a bit longer.

Hey, thanks, Minnie! Where was this info hiding, if I may ask?
I'm glad to see there are no Monday games, since I've started beginning and ending my auctions on Mondays instead of Sundays--at least for a while. I see no difference in sales, and I'll get to watch West Wing uninterrupted by Ebay business on Sunday evenings.

Finally! Someone else on this board that watches West Wing. Does this mean I'll finally have someone to dish the dirt with on the show?

Yes! Let's dish the dirt!
I have no idea where WW is going this fall and no real clue as to who the new President will be. I used to be in politics and always get a stomach ache when they have a show like the one the other night, full of campaign troubles and surprises. Too close to home. A friend of mine thinks Josh is going to be the new star of the show. I wonder. My friend and I also cannot stand the little blond "dwarfish" high-voiced woman on the show (I forget her name). She's just plain peculiar.
So. . . after a Sunday evening show, start a thread on Vendio RT and we can discuss it - if you'd like. WW is still the one appointment-TV for me each week, and I'm glad we have new segments coming now.

Will do - but first you have to tell me what you thought of the opening segment of this seasons premier with Bartlett at the library ... especialltelling CJ and Danny that Abby wanted a pic of the baby

Funny coincidence. My pal who watches WW "with" me sent this, this morning:
"I don't know why C.J. dyed her hair. I don't think it adds much. The only thing I have liked about this season's two shows was the introduction to the season opener, at the opening of the Bartlett Presidential Library. I was pleased to see that C.J. and Danny were married and had a daughter (though I felt some concern at C.J. having a child at her age???? She has to be mid-forties? But these are different times, aren't they.) And there was Charlie with a moustache, making him look at least 24. Except they most definitely should have given Rob Lowe a one-shot deal and let him be there as a senator. Those were the good old days, though. Seemingly gone forever."
She went into mourning when Rob Lowe left the show.
I did NOT see the first segment and had no idea CJ and Danny are married and have a baby??? When did that happen? Is Danny the red-haired reporter or somebody else? See how confused I am?!

Roadsmith, glad I could be of some help.
If you go to the mlb.com website, at the top there is "scoreboard, standings, stats, schedule, etc" I clicked on schedule and the playoff and world series schedules are there.

Roady - yes - Danny is the red headed reporter. the scene she is talking about is the opening of theepisode. It takes place three years in the future at the opening of Bartletts Presidential Library. Barteletts walks in and you see CJ, Danny, Toby, Charlie, the blond Security Advisor whose name I can't remember and Will. He talks to CJ about her tan and living in Malibu then tells Danny that Abby wants a picture of the baby - that's the first you learn about them getting back together, Toby thanks Jed for the invitation and says that Columbia "is a nice place to spend time" (I think he's the leak), the Security Advisor has written a book, Charlie read it (I was disappointed, figured by now Charlie would be Jeds son in law) and Will is a Congressman on the Ways and Means Committee. Josh then comes in and annouces that "The President has arrived". You see the car pull and someone getting out but you only see the persons feet then they break to intro and come back to current happenings.
Santos is going to win. Alda is only slated for a few episodes (more than he planned on last year, like Sheen he had such a good time on the set that he agreed to a longer role than originally planned). I love that they brought Oliver Babbish (Platt) back for a couple episodes, as well as Marlie Matlin (did you know they don't give the actor that plays Kenny the scripts? He really does do the interpretations?) and now Ron Silvers charachter too. I love when old charachters ome back for guest slots.
I don't think we will see Rob Lowe - he burned some big bridges with the producers when he left and in the end proved that his success was based on brilliant writing, not brilliant acting. Have you seen Stockard Channings new series? I love her to death, have since I was a little kid and saw her in Girl Most Likely Too... but I recorded an episode of the new series and couldn't even make it thru the whole 30 minutes.

Thanks for the synopsis! In a way, I'm sorry to know all of that - now. About Rob Lowe: My friend thinks he's the best looking guy in movies and I find him a bit plastic and not that appealing. Funny how our tastes differ, isn't it.
