Is this a scam or some seller pretending to be on ebay's payroll??? Why the HECK would ebay come here to buy used electronics..I thought they were just a VENUE!!!

JACK: MOA is in Bloomington MN, a suburb of MPLS. It is the largest Shopping Mall I the USA. It sits on the site of the old Twins/Vikings Stadium

I remember when the LLOYDS (sp) Center in Portland Ore. was touted as the LARGEST Mall in America. 60-61? right around that time...

They say that Mall of America is the most visited spot in the US - beating out both Disneyland and Disney World in number of visitors ( I think it may be even COMBINED).
"Mall of America is the country's most visited destination, attracting more than 42.5 million people each year" (from MOA promo site)
And still more than you ever wanted to know about MOA:
What can you say about a mall housing more than 520 stores, 70 restaurants, 14 movie screens, a wedding chapel, an 18-hole mini-golf course, a gargantuan aquarium and a Camp Snoopy amusement park, all under one roof? Not to mention the roller coaster, swimming beach, hotels and other aspects of this over-the-top "building" that employs 12,000 people. Well, actually you can say a lot:
* If a shopper spent 10 minutes browsing at every store it would take them more than 86 hours to complete their visit to Mall of America.
* 258 Statue of Libertys could lay inside the Mall.
* 67 Washington Monuments could lay inside the Mall.
* If Mall of America had a retractable roof (and it is where an old baseball stadium used to stand), nine Eiffel Towers could stand inside.
* If Mount Rushmore was divided into individual monuments, a president could reside in each of the Mall's four courts.
* If the Mall had a retractable roof, two King Khufu Pyramids, the world's largest pyramid, would fit inside.
* Mall of America's 4.2 million square feet would hold 24,336 school buses.
* Mall of America is big enough to hold 32 Boeing 747s.
* More than 2,500 couples have been married at Mall of America since opening in August, 1992.
It is the largest shopping mall in America. With 42.5 million yearly visitors (more than Disney World, Graceland and the Grand Canyon combined), it's the USA's fifth-most visited attraction. Pretty good for being just a shopping center in a Minneapolis suburb.

The Mall of America is so much more than a mall though. The biggest thing about it is, we have WINTER here. The Mall of America is a great get away without leaving town.
I have to wonder about the news report though. The only channel here that has noon news is WCCO channel 4. They are not the most credible news source in town. You have to think back a few years, but that was the station that paid a man to go around the country spreading the aids virus just so they could make a news story.

MOA is 4.2 million square feet. On some days, it exceeds the population of some cities. Nader Ghermezian, president of the family business that developed and controls the mall wants to to double the mall's size (but that could be based on whether they get a casino or not). The expansion is suppose to include a hotel, a concert hall, an ice skating arena, an indoor golf course, public gardens and high-end retail shops. Don't live more than 20 minutes from it and haven't been there more than 3 times.
If you visit, don't buy anything too big. Its a long way to haul it to the car!

Hey we should have a Twin City Vendio convention at the MOA!!!
Stone - it was on the KSTP noon news (well 11 am).
I used to go all the time before the kids went away to college and before they opened the swank new shops in Maple Grove. Vintagepostcards: purgatory is sitting in the parents waiting area of Abercrombie & Fitch at Mall of America (music at about 10,000 decibels with the air reeking of musk based perfumes from the samples by the cash register). Makes me yearn for the days of Camp Snoopy rides and Legoland!
