I was gifted with 4 very good tickets to a game this coming weekend. These are not cheap seats and I hate to see them go unused. The problem is I do not live where the event is and can not place an ad in the local paper. I was going to be there, but plans have changed. I thought trying Ebay with a buy it now and hope it sells by Tuesday so I have time to mail. Now, that being said, what if my friend sees these tickets up for auction? I would just as soon he got the tickets back or the money from the sale, but that can't be done outright without terribly hurting his feelings. Also there is no way he would have use for the tickets himself so selling is the only real alternative. He was so proud of his well thought birthday gift to me. What to do? I feel terrible not using them , but hate to see his money wasted and would like to get some of it back for him even if it's unknowingly given back in a different way. Any ideas?

Sorry, these are Chiefs and Chargers at Qualcomm this weekend. The last Packers game I went to was enlightening to say the least . They have amazing fans there just like us KC fans. I thought Chiefs fans were fanatical, but wow!! LOL Thank you anyway

Sell the tickets then be upfront with your friend. Tell him you were not going to be in town and didn't want his well thought gift to be a waste so you sold the tickets, brought yourself a (something you really want but would not have bought yourself).

Is there any way that you can trade the tickets in at the box office or Ticketmaster for a different game or a different venue?
I have done that with tickets to baseball games even though when you buy the tickets they tell you that there are no refunds and all sales are final. There was a $2 or $3 charge for each ticket to exchange them if I remember correctly.

What a Great friend you have to give you such an awesome birthday gift, it would be a shame if he thought it was unappreciated.
