Sometimes you know you're just fighting a losing battle. I had a bidder from France purchase one of my items on 10/6/05. Of course... he wanted to pay by Paypal, which I don't accept (and would never accept for foreign transactions anyhow!). So, after MUCH convincing... he sends payment as a money order through Bidpay on 10/7/05. His money order arrives on 10/18/05. I ship his item on 10/19/05... the same day that he files an Unpaid item dispute! (despite the fact that I've been constantly responding to his dozen or so emails asking where his item is...which started the day after he sent the Bidpay money order, no less!) So, I state in the dispute that his payment was received and his item was shipped via USPS airmail. I also remind him that airmail typically takes 4-7 days for delivery, but can occassional be longer. So... what does he do today... five days after the item was shipped. Leaves me negative feedback and calls me a theif. What a loser! He got a negative right back, and I responded to mine with just the facts on receipt of payment and date of shipment to FRANCE! I hope this *&#*&$ feels at least a twinge of guilt when his package shows up in the next few days. He's only got a 24 feedback rating... with four negatives and a multitude of nuetrals complaining about his unreasonable attitude toward ship time.
Oh well... it's been over a year since I got a negative. I knew it was coming. I just hate these stupid idiots that have no business buying things on eBay. Thanks for letting me vent!

Your first line says it all "Sometimes you know you're just fighting a losing battle. I had a bidder from France purchase one of my items..."

This creep's down to a 23 feedback rating now! He left the same crazy negative feedback for another seller. That one says they just received payment 12 days ago... and that this guy won't wait for the packages to travel internationally. What an idiot! I really don't understand people. I have a 5300+ rating... with 99.8% positive. Do some people really think I've had this success by being a thief?!
This said... I in no way meant to disparage French bidders. I've actually done plenty of business overseas (about 15% of my total sales) and I find most of them to be exceptional customers. This guy is just off his rocker! Thanks again for letting me vent.

It would probably have been better to check the buyer's feedback before going ahead with the transaction, and avoiding the grief of dealing with this idiot. Clearly their eBay days are numbered, and if they are NARU'd within 90 days of joining eBay then their negative feedback will be expunged from your record

Wow, if this is the worst bidder in 9 years, you are lucky! I've read stories of stalking, etc. - That sounds much worse than an ignorant newbie...

"expunged" for some reason I always hated that word...I feel like I've been violated.

Unfortunately... even though he's got low feedback and obviously very little experience... he's been a member since March '04. I don't think I'll be able to get eBay to remove the feedback. I guess some of you are right... compared to some of the other things I've heard on this board... I suppose I am lucky that I've never had any bidders worse than this. Still... he's crazy... and he's been a constant headache for the past 3 weeks.
Of course... I woke up this morning to more grief from this guy. Surprise, surprise... he decided to close the Item not received dispute that he filed and marked it as unresolved. So... now what happens? Has anyone gone through that process before? The message I got from eBay basically said that he may choose to file with Safe Harbor... and if it qualifies they may conduct an investigation that could lead to suspension or termination of my account. Should I be worried? This whole thing's just frustrating!

Guess who I got an email from this morning? You guessed it! Surprise, surprise... he got his item today! (exactly when I said he would, I might add!) He wrote that he's very sorry and that he wants to replace the negative feedback with a positive one. (wish he hadn't jumped the gun to begin with!) So, I sent him a mutual feedback removal request. Hey, at least that way my comment stays in his profile... and I won't have that nasty red 1 in my profile for the next year. Looks like it all will work out. I guess I've just been real lucky to have not run into any other bidders that have been this impatient during my 9+ years on eBay. Here's hoping that it will be another 9 'till my next one!

I still sell internationally but I fully understand why others won't. It's very time consuming compared to other transactions and communication is sometimes impossible.

Go expunge yourself, Classic. Rigorously and thoroughly. Not just a personal hand shake, now! Remember, it's not a liberal initiation if you don't utilize an expunging partner.
