On Thursday 3rd Nov, sellers listing in Auction-style format in an eligible category, will pay 5 cents (€0.05 EUR) insertion fee on eBay Ireland. All other fees apply, see URL below for details and restrictions.
When: Thursday 3rd November 2005 between 00:00:01 GMT and 23:59:59 GMT
It's a great chance to get some valuable Euros from those wealthy European buyers that love to pay by cash or IBAN bank transfer (no need for PayPal so no fees)

Ebay is just encouraging more UK and Ireland buyers to list. Apparently, there is no need to do so in the U.S.

Do you ever look around at these other sites? They're like ghost towns...very little listing action going on.
eBay Ireland is pretty quiet since it was only just spun off from eBay UK a few months ago. eBay UK is far from a "ghost town" - at least as far as my recent UK sales indicate.
eBay Ireland is good as a European selling venue that is listed in Euros, but has an English language interface. Otherwise you have to list on an eBay in what is probably your second or third language (Spanish, French, German, etc.)
Listing & FV fees on eBay Ireland are comparable to eBay UK. However, it's best to compare all the different European eBays as you can get some real bargains in fees if you shop around.
