I have no doubt it will be next week because I am going to be GONE (after waiting since June for some kind of hand-out from Meg ) - just my luck

Most likely Australia will get a discounted Listing Day to kick off the Summer Specials in the leadup to Xmas and barbeques on the beach at Bondi

I'd guess Canada would be next with a 10-cent listing day (which is really like an 8-cent listing day after currancy conversion)

HA! You kill me! Meg is getting ready for a 3 month cruise, the Powersellers paid for it,she can't be bothered with a U.S. promotion.

I have written to ebay about the lack of hits, bids, numbers of "bookmarks" (thats the... maybe I'll bid on that if I remember it place!!!) and ebay business in general. I was doing so well last fall and winter I could barely keep up... this fall, with the same mixture of items I am struggling BIG TIME just to keep my bronze powerseller level. And I do mean struggle. I am listing more and paying more to ebay and getting less in $ return. Their recent ad campaign is LAME to say it mildly. Who thought it was clever and good. The core idea "What ever IT is you can find and buy it on ebay is correct. You can... But the commercial to translate that thought is poorly done... my opinion. I have been an ebay buyer and seller since 1997 and it wasn't until I caught the mixed colors in the lettering that I knew it was an ebay commercial! How long would it take someone who doesn't know "the colors"? They need a new PR company. I expressed all this and more to ebay in a nicely worded letter.... after playing hide and go seek for the "contact us" link.
I think a 5/10 cent listing day would help but only if it results in more bids and buys which it probably would not. What that does is flood an all ready sluggish market place. What they need is to spend some money $$$$ on advertising in the U.S.!!! What they need to be saying is, for instance, high gas prices should not translate into no shopping. Go to ebay and avoid the high gas prices. SHOP EBAY for IT! And unlike the "contact us" link, the word EBAY should not be the last thing a viewer sees it should be the first and they need to hear the word EBAY while they are walking to the kitchen/bathroom! off to listing land....

I never really like the free listing - too much junk gets listed. But I know lots of people really like it and it's been so long since ebay did anything for the US sellers. I think my feels are a little hurt?
