Click on "site map" at the top of any Ebay page. Scroll down 2/3 of the way to "My Account" in the center column. There is a link there to change your ID.

I don't think you can set up more than one active id on the same eBay account. You can change your user name on the account but you can't switch back and forth between the two ids.
You will have to set up another eBay account to have another active id.

I just set up a new one for a specific purpose. I couldn't do it in my name, had to use the wife's instead. I was able to use the same credit card and mailing address, but couldn't have 2 under the same name. Live help explained to me how I could do it using my wife, since she doesn't have her own account.

Don't know why you are having a problem, I have 4 id's all in my name. Are you trying to set them up with the same email address?

I've had them set up for years, I'm pretty sure you just have to go through the same process you do when you sign up for the first account.

That's what I did. Start from the sign up link on the front page. You can keep everything the same except for your email addy and the accountholder's name. Like I said, I used live help and was told what to do.

They used to let you have more than one in your name. Not any more.

My primary account is in my name. My secondary account is in my wife's name. I have two kids, a dog and a cat whose names I can use for future accounts. Just make sure you have a different email address for each. If you are on AOL, it's no problem. If you try to use Yahoo or Hotmail addys, you'll need to produce a credit card for each.

Hi, I have two user ID with e bay and I have 5000 feedbacks on one account and 200 on the other and I just find out that ebay will merge the two accounts if I want to and combine the feedback into one feedback whenever i decide to close one account which I was thinking doing.

hwahwa: Most of us set up our eBay IDs so long ago that the registration process has changed several times since. I have a handful of eBay seller IDs but none of them are linked to credit cards or checking accounts; those have all expired. That's how long ago I signed up. I understand you must have your ID linked these days, but I pay my fees in cash. I like it that way.
If you don't want to go the Live Help route, as suggested, try doing it on a different computer or clear the cookies from the computer you're using. I would go try to set up another ID to test this but I don't want to give eBay a credit card number.

Recently opened second account. Ebays restrictions are that you have to have DIFFERENT e-mail address & obivously DIFFERENT ebay ID for each account. Those are the only TWO items that HAVE to be different. Same mailing address, name, etc. doesn't matter. Most internet accounts allow you to have multiple e-mail addresses, just make it similiar to what you have now -- hwahwa & hwahwa1 --. I did that for shipping purposes, one site charges flat fee, other calculates. One has VENDIO and the other is TURBOLISTER. NOW -- VENDIO -- WILL NOT let you use two ebay IDs on ONE VENDIO account...they make you sign up again. And previous poster is correct, you can MERGE multiple IDs at anytime, combining the feedback.
