For everyone who expressed an interest in my nephew, Ryan and his battle with Leukemia. . .he's been hospitalized again. He got an infection and his white blood cell count is down to 800. As soon as I know more, I'll let you all know. This is awful because he was coming along so well.
BTW, generally the normal white cell count is between about 4,000 and 11,000 per cubic millimeter of blood. Ryan's is 800.

Omigosh, Cheryl!!! ... and yes, you just told a few days ago that he seemed to be coming along great ... so sorry to hear this "news" ... again, he and his whole family are still in my thoughts and prayers.
.....
C'monnnnnnnn Ryan!!! ... Hang in there little buddy!
It is part of it. However, when an infection sets in like it has now, it puts a halt to the Chemo. It's a catch 22. Chemo destroys good cells as well as the bad leaving you open to all kinds of odd infections. And, once you get one, the Chemo has to stop until it's cleared up.
It's just too much to go through for someone who hasn't even seen his 2nd birthday yet.

Cheryl, This is got to be so tough for you and your family. Remember that we here at Vendio are all pulling for little Ryan. Poor little guy. I will be saying some prayers tonight for him.
