Who or what is a money gram? Is it legit? I had a buyer from Georgia want to send me a Money gram. Not Georgia, US, Georgia overseas.
Can anyone give info about it please?
TIA

Western union money grams are as good as cash. I got one once, I went to the store on the corner, they looked at their computer and handed over the cash. Just make sure they use Western Union and not some other brand... There are fake money orders out there. Stick with Western Union.

Just confirming dejapooh's observations that it's a cash transfer service. Your Georgian buyer emails you a code ID or transfer # which you use to pickup the cash. Only then do you ship the item. Unlike PayPal there are no chargebacks risks as buyer has paid cold hard cash at their end to remit US currency...
By the way Georgian is best known for two things: strong wine and the great wartime comrade of the USA - Josef Stalin (not to be confused with former friend of the USA, Saddam Hussein).

I thought that it sounded a little shady. I am aware of receiving funds through Western Union and money orders through Bidpay. But I hadn't heard anything about a Money Gram. I state in my listing info for International buyers to use Bidpay for Western Union money orders. Of course, like any normal reader, they didn't read my listing info. He is already trying to change my terms to suit his needs. I have a feeling that I won't be receiving funds from this buyer.

If it is really a Western Union moneygram, do not see why you should be concerned. People wire these to friends and relatives all over the world. Why don't you just ask What company is issueing the moneygram?
