I want to force people to ship to their cc billing address - how do I do this?

Or how do I protect myself? In the past I never had any fraud, but I am selling electronics this christmas.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

Go to PP;My Account; Profile, and then select Payment Receiving Preferences (on the right hand side). Select Yes on the first option.

This will not stop people from paying and then requesting a different shipping address, but it will reduce the problem considerably.

I state that I'll only ship to the confirmed address in 5 different places (auction, emails, checkout, etc.), but I still get asked sometimes. I'll even do it for a cheap item, to spare me the time, but generally I refuse.

My confirmed address is a PO box. Paypal uses the address that your cc bill is mailed to as the confirmed one. We live in a town that doesn't have mailboxes but we can get delivery from FedEx and UPS to our house.

If you're shipping electronics and using UPS or FedEx, what do you do about shipping to a confirmed address as these shippers can't ship to a PO Box?

In my case, I ship USPS when it's a PO box without a street address.

Many buyers with a PO box also have a street address, in which case we can ship UPS and still be covered under PP seller protection.

if you are selling high end electronics over 250 dollars, you need signature receipt as well.
just because you ship to confirmed addr with DC and signature receipt,it does not protect you from chargeback, crooks have been known to have items shipped to empty house/apt or stand outside waiting for delivery.
When the amount gets too high for paypal to eat,it will drop this seller protection crap and make you pay.
/ lets all stop whining !! /
