I don't know if there has been a thread about this topic. Can some of you knowledgeable guys give some comments on Vendio Dealio. Good idea or not?

Vendio is placing Dealio ads on all click to enlarge images (the smily face plus a plug). AS a workaround for disgruntled customers, they are offering a pseudo-store which supposedly will put a link for the pseudo Vendio store (really just a mirror of your ebay listings) on the page instead of the DEALIO promotion - but you have to comment on this thread on the Vendio Services - ME board http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=95997 to get the store set up.

Think of the all the free advertising they are getting and most people don't even realize what's going on!!

I think it violates ebay's links policy and puts users at jeopordy for ebay reprimands, ended listings and/or suspension!

If you don't want to promote DEALIO, make sure you go on record on that thread as it seems Vendio is not going to make an announcement about it.

ED NOTE: Sorry for this rambling post. I've been up all night trying to crank out FP listings because Vendio has no easy way to change format - I can't write for sh$W( today and I am mad as H#$*&( at Vendio for not offering a DECENT bulk relister for Merchandising Edition users!

Thanks, I read the threads and removed requests to participate. I sell craft books, and scan up to 20 pics an auction so that people can see what is in the book. I don't want someone who scans the covers only to get the buyers who check out all the contents of the book on my auctions, and then buys the one that has taken far less work at a cheaper price.

I have voiced my comments over there on their service board a few times ... hope they do something about this, to let vendio'ers "opt out", like ebay let us do for end of listings cross promoting to other sellers items .... how absurd!!!

Amber: Do you recall where you opted out from that?
