Could anyone tell me if this email I received is genuine? It appears to be, it has the msn butterfly. It says my Hotmail account will be terminated unless I click on a link in the email. I am so leary of clicking links but, I do not want my email rendered terminated either!

What do the "headers" show?

If concerned, I'd just FORWARD all phishy emails to:

[email protected] (or "whoever".com)

and see what kinda response ya get

I thought it may be genuine since I have not used it in 3 or 4 weeks except to delete junk mail. The top reads Msn Hotmail.

Babs, any valid request for account services from ANY provider will direct you to go directly to your account on their website to make any changes.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER !!! Click on an email link to update sensitive material.

The only thing you should ever click on an email is the DELETE button in the Outlook tool bar.
