I'm wondering what the heck happened tonight? Vendio couldn't upload ANY of my regularly scheduled auctions to Ebay tonight and so far, I've gotten no response to my query from Vendio. Nothing seemed to be wrong on Ebay's end, yet all of my auctions uploads sat on "PROCESSING" for almost 2 hours before I finally canceled them when it got too late for closing times for my regular bidders - I have a group of repetitive miniature collectors who are used to my auctions being uploaded on Saturday evenings during a given time frame.
Two hours later, I cancelled all of my "processing" auctions, hoping to reload them for only a 5 day run next Monday evening since all of my regulars expect all of my auctions to close on Saturday evenings. That delay and shortened auction run will undoubtedly cost me money.
Does anyone know what happened tonight? Thus far, I haven't seen anything on Ebay's message board indicating the problem was on their end and so far no reply to my query about the problem from Vendio.

It happens about once a year. It always has and it always will. One thing you can count on. Vendio will blame Ebay. Ebay will blame Vendio. Neither will ever admit fault. Both will thank you for your patience. And no, neither will offer to compensate the sellers who lost money because of it.

I've been listing all day & all night DIRECTLY at eBay without any problemos, so, it AIN'T an eBay problemo...???

Most likely a problem somewhere between Ebay and Vendio. Vendio is accepting and processing the auctions without erroring out, but Ebay's not receiving them. Some mouse could have chewed through the cable connecting the servers at Exedous.

Sometimes, in the dark of night, I imagine that Ebay doesn't want Vendio to succeed.

Three days later now and I JUST received an email reply from Vendio about the auction upload difficulty Saturday evening. Without ever specifically identifying the problem, Vendio cust service says:
"The problem you are reporting is most likely due to a technical issue we
were experiencing at the time of your email. The issue has since been
resolved, and you should no longer be experiencing any difficulty using
our services.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused
you."
Ummm, that not a good "hidden" "technical issue" to have.
I dunno about the seller whose auctions aren't doing that well, but once mine finally got up online, some three hours plus late, for some reason, the high bids took off like a rocket, go figure. Hope it continues throughout the week to auction closings.

If anything happens to Vendio on the weekends you're definitely out of luck! I had an issue on a Saturday - no pics in the auctions were showing up on my, and other Vendio users, sales.
I freaked - my auctions were no reserve and closing soon - I bought the personal assistance crap where they actually give you a number to call. Called only to get a recording saying they would call me on Monday morning!
At least they gave me my money back for the 'assistance'. The pics came back within 30 minutes - but it makes you wonder - what if there is an outage on the weekend? I wonder if it has happened?

Oh, geesh, it's a good thing I didn't check "inside" any of my auctions during the picture glitch, since mine are always set to close on Saturday evenings - it's not technically the "best" night to close on Ebay, but it's where my loyal regulars, the backbone of my miniature woodturning business, have come to expect and demand them, go figure. The picture outtage on Saturday probably wouldn't have hurt me too badly, except for last minute undecided-type bidders wanting to take a last look to help decide about going higher or not on their last-minute bids, since most of my buyers make up their respective minds earlier in the week shortly after I post, but still.
I've used Vendio for my auctions way back to the days when it was free and called itself Auction Watch, but now I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't start exploring other auction alternatives. I say that, because when a company gets into trouble, customer service is usually the first thing to suffer. Hmmmm ... now you tell me about the major glitch with auction pictures over the weekend. This is definitely not a good thing.

Mespod: What exactly is miniature woodturning? Do you make furniture for doll houses or. . . ? Just curious.

Roadsmith - it's woodturning, just on a miniature scale; bowls, vases, hollow turned miniature boxes and lidded urns and the like. I will sometimes turn pedestal tables, but I prefer not to build mini furniture, although my other half will do so upon occasion.
Everyone else: yes, I've had probs with my browswer back-up on Ebay for a while now, it seems.
