I just ran a search and think that last years day was announced on Dec 26.... I for one am done listing before Christmas... I am in "type and hold mode".
Cheryl BTW I agree with you comments recently Jan thru March is the BEST BY FAR time of year for me on ebay! I'm grateful it's December not June right now...SAVE THE WEATHER!

I think January through March are good because people not only get money for Christmas, but they have income tax returns coming back. Now that you can file electronically, the money comes back quickly. I'm stocking up now and may not list too much more until after Christmas. If you'll notice, sales drop off in April when people have to PAY their taxes. I'm one of 'em. LOL!
Edited to add: Speaking of weather. What's up with that? We've had more snow so far this year than at this time last year and last year we set a record for snowfall. This year we've had over 9" in December (the snowbelt has had about 50"!). We haven't been out of the 20's in ages and that's way below normal. Seems almost the entire country is suffering. So much for the predictions that this year will be better than last!

lol replay...I was listening on the radio last week, someone was talking about an article from a popular scientific magazine from the 1970's where scientists were talking about an ice age that might be in our future, and that we weren't doing enough to deal with it. I wish I could find the exact article and date, if I have a free hour I can try to research it.
As for 10 cent days, I can do without them. Too many items on ebay, if I know one is happening, I make sure I reduce auction listings (though lately, auctions are only a small part of my business plan)

I usually take advantage of the 10 cent days (but free is better), but I generally tend to ignore the 50 cent or half price days. That still counts up to be a lot of money if you have a big inventory.

I love 10 cent and free listing days. Last year at Christmas I listed over 200 items and sold about 65%. I only list items over $50.00 so this is a great savings for me. If I was listing cheap items I would not bother either.
