i had so much fun with the Thanksgiving postcards, and enjoyed seeing the ones other people displayed, that i thought i'd continue the custom for Christmas.

so, Merry Christmas to all! and Joy to the World!, to borrow a couple of thoughts on the season. thanks for all the help this year, everyone, and i hope we all have a great New Year as well to look forward to.

This postcard with a 1909 postmark is one of my favorites. I am using the image as the base of my Christmas cards this year.

Tomwiii,

I have not watched it for years. I am going to see if I can find it to rent during the holidays. We collect optical toys so I love magic lantern references.

This image below is not a postcard but an illustration from a copyright 1906 linen children's' book.

All these postcards are charming. I'm guessing they are not for sale, but a private collection.

Those of us that are circa 1950's know the REAL Santa is the one drinking Coke (probably the reason I won't drink Pepsi)

You win with two of the ugliest cards, so far, I've ever seen.

neglus yes, ugly, but it doesn't beat that family with the cat.

The mother & daughter card you posted is really beautiful.

vintage, is your card blurry or is it my computer.

mcjane, which card looks blurry to you? none of them should, so that's extremely interesting to hear!

vintage,

The one where you said this:

"all the cards i post in here are for sale, the exception being
the piece de resistance that i'm saving for the very last"

It's not just blurry, it's [b]extremely[b] blurry.

Wonder if it's looks that way to anyone else.

none are blurry to me. a few look like they need Adobe smart fix or something.

hmmmm - that's interesting - I never noticed you had a black Santa in there!

(I'm sorry - was that politically correct to say?)
