I'm just curious - for the past three days the main sell box on the ebay homepage has featured items "For the Mac Fan". Is it the same for PC users or is is this a targeted campaign based on the operating system of the viewer.

Or could it be that eBay just recognizes that most Macs need a fan?

Just joshin' ya.

On the Compaq Presario 2100, it says "get it wholesale".

On the PowerBook G4, it says "Deals! Deals! Deals! for the Mac Fan".

On the G4 Tower, ditto.

Don't have time to check every iMac or the PowerBook in the bathroom.

In other words, your surmise is most likely correct.

Mine has a big graphic about OVERNIGHT SHIPPING, and below that is the usual featured items.

My PC is a home-built thing, no brand name.

I don't ever go to the ebay homepage - I have Foxfire Home Page tabs set to "My Ebay Selling Page""Ebay Outlook" "Google" and a couple of other resource sites I use. I just checked out the home page now and I see "Overnight Shipping"

My "get it wholesale" message was undoubtedly targeted as well. The ID I was using at that moment buys wholesale lots on eBay.

For Firefox, just go to whatever page you want to make your new homepage, then pull down the TOOLS menu, choose OPTIONS, and under the GENERAL settings go with USE CURRENT PAGE.

Internet Explorer is a very similar procedure, but the menus have slightly different names.

I thought we were talking about the eBay home page.

Just hit refresh five or six times. You usually get a different result each time.
