I think these are made by a popular Japanese company but I can't remember the name. Can anyone help? I think it start with the letters L & S

Woo, some fugly shaking going on there I am not sure of the maker. Have you searched on ebay (if you can log in) for simaillar shakers?

I can't help you with the ID, but I think these shakers are cute. A tad phallic, however.

ladyjewels .. you have to title them Phallic Symbol Salt and Pepper Shakers ... you'll get plenty of hits.

Turn them upside down and remove the corks from the filler holes. Take a penlight and look inside. See if you can detect any battery holders. If so, I think I may be able to identify them.

Those are Lindt-Stymeist and are very collectible, especially if they have the original paper tags identifying them to be from Japan. That was the original issue. There was a reissue later.
