Had a quiet Xmas in my new home in St. Augustine. Still unpacking and wondering if I will ever get back on EBay. Want to reorganize everything in my 2car garage. I lived in Victoria, Sanmar and I can remember the rain.

We spent the weekend at our newly divorced daughter's house--with the two lively little boys, her boarder (a woman friend), and her new boyfriend. Smallish house, too much noise and mess. The two of us are now used to quiet and order, alas. It was nice to see everybody but awfully good to get back up the mountain and home. Weather was passable.

Everyone had a great time with a BBQ on the beach (thankfully no Tsunami this year). On the downside a load of the kids got more sunburnt than usual, but no other casualties...
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

roadsmith, I hear ya, used to be that way with me. It was nice to be there, but nicer to come home.
My son & daughter in law at one time had a very small house, but now a very large one. I guess you'd call it a Mother in Law house, two of everything & six bathrooms. I thought they were crazy for buying it, but they made it into one large house, took them a long time & they did most of the work themselves, did a nice job too, so it's better visiting.
They & my three children live in MD, I live in PA. I enjoy visiting, but not so much staying overnight. I like my own bed.
I did have a good time though. I adore my daughter in law, she is the granddaughter of my best friend & I've known her all her life.
sanmar,
I have family in Coos Bay, OR & know all about the rain. Doesn't seem to bother the natives at all.

My husband and I had a lovely day together. Cooked a standing rib roast on the grill, sat by the fire (in the fireplace!), and exchanged gifts. Had a long phone call with my sister which was not as good as being with her. Missing her was the only part of the day that could have been better.
My favorite gift was an electronic pepper mill! Works off 8 AAA batteries with a push button and a light in the bottom to see where the pepper is going! Is that bizarre or what? My sister said it was typical of my husband who is a gadget junky. As if that was not enough he was so enchanted with "my" gift that he went out and bought the matching electronic salt mill.
In contrast with his high-tech gift I went really low-tech and bought him a wooden squirrel feeder and bag of ears of corn. He has had fun watching the feeder with binoculars from the window.
Our best friends are away but are coming to stay on New Years week end. We will celebrate Christmas again with them at the end of the week.
Best wishes to all of the eBay Outlookers!

MAH,
Bless you for rescuing a kitten. That's the true spirit of Christmas. Your good deed will be repaid many times over in the years to come.

Welcome back Sanmar, and happy New Year to you too. Dry out while you can. The storm followed you back from Seattle. We're going to get hit with two big ones this weekend. Expect up to 6 inches of rain in central Ca before it's over.

MAH' several years ago my brother had a Cocker named Trouble & he lived up to his name. My sweetie has 2 new cats that she got in August, They are now 7 mos. old. They are twin bros. & she has named them George & Jasper. They are Orange Marmaladea tabbies. If you don't know what that means, they are orange with spots & stripes. They are really cute & fun cats.

Mah...Just go to your Vendio image folder, find the thumbnail for trouble, click on it to open it. Then right click on the image. Select "properties" from the drop down menu, highlight the image url and copy it. Bring it back over here and paste that url into your post. I'll take care of it from there.

When you remove the "*"s from the above, you get this:
The problem is, this is the url of the thumbnail image. So in addition to removing the stars, we will also change the ".thumbs" to ".mids" and get a mid sized image.

Thanks so much sparkz,He doesn't have a tail as he is part minx. What a live wire! And by the looks of his feet he is going to big a big cat. My other cat isn't happy with him yet,I hope they will get along as time goes by. My husband is keeping him in the bedroom while we work.
