How beautiful! Our snow is old and ratty looking, what little bit is left.

Our snow sat around all of December and then completely disappeared on Christmas Eve. No white Christmas this year!

No picture here, but it is rainy and most of the rivers and creeks are at high levels. We have a creek in our back yard, fortunately, it really is recessed and would have to really significantly flood to cause a problem. Still, it is way higher than I've seen it, and the water is flowing pretty fast.

Hi Toasted, your butterfly flowers are Lantana. It is a gorgeous 70 today here in the Panhandle of FL.

And we have Cardinals too.

Don't see them as much when the Osprey is around though.

toasted- If you'd like some snow, we are supposed to get about 3" tomorrow. I'll let you have, free of charge, all the snow you'd like. Just bring a large truck. Heck, I'll even loan you a shovel...

I'll take the snow, I'll take the gorgeous pool - but what I do NOT want is the dreary cloudy cold day here in Maryland. Even the puppies are howling to get out of here:

well, come on down Classic. Actually it is about 50 degrees. We are contemplating solar panels on the garage you see with the french doors. Have only put my toe in the pool so far. The first night we arrived, the pup just walked into it, boy was he surprised. We hauled him out and he is fine but very wary of the pool now.

niel35 I want to come to your house and camp out by your pool. But can only arrive when the temperature is above 90 LOL Let me know and I'll be right there. Beautiful yard and pool.

neglus I like your scene too, nice cardinal for a little color. Love to look at snow just don't like to get out in it. I'm in Texas and we don't get much snow. Ice maybe but not much snow at all. Expected to be in 80's here Sunday but windy.

Good idea Irked. I think we should give Niel a Vendio house warming party. At her house of course!

But we should wait until she gets unpacked. Waiting til Spring Break should just about do it

OK, spring break it is. BYOB & B. Means bring your own bed and booze. I moved at the worst part of the year, November. Shot down the Holiday sales on EBay and am still unpacking stuff. Time to sort it out and get rid of some of it. Have two 2-car garages so lots of room but need to get organized. 75 degrees today.

niel35 - I long for sun - it has rained and rained in the Puget Sound WA area for so long that I can hardly remember that it can be beautiful up here. Can you give me a general idea of cost to buy a home with pool similar to yours? It might motivate me to list a lot more! Thanks.

Now that I've thought about it for a bit, who needs to be hanging with all the teenagers at spring break. Lets make it Bike week. Those guys really know how to party!

As for BYOB, you took down the pics before I could reserve my poolside lounge.

BIKE WEEK it is, then. We aren't far at all from Daytona. I didn't take down the pics but maybe they were too big and V took them off.
Colseng - houses are 1/3 of the prices they are getting down in Miami. You can get really nice ones here in new developments for 350 to 500,000. Keep listing........
Classic - don't know if you want to see a 71 year old woman skinny dipping, so I'll pass on that. Course Ralphie will oblige, I am sure.

I couldn't see this from my window. Had to step out front and look down the street. I took it this afternoon during a pause from the big storm that slammed California this weekend.

Nice rainbow, Sparkz. We have been getting pounded all day from the same storm--high winds, cold rain, cold weather--and no snow yet this year in our mountains! Maybe in the morning if it clears up we'll see some snow on the highest peaks. The wind has continued to blow down those big drippy sugar-pine cones that we had in such abundance this year (because of the wet winter last year). What a mess.

Shortly after I posted that pic, we lost power. It's back now, but a large area north of us is blacked out yet. Actually, this has been a fairly steady downpour for two days and brought us some much needed water to this part of the state and some great snow to the Sierras. Last year, after a storm, I was able to get a picture of a double rainbow. If I run across it, I'll post it.

Sparkz: We finally got our first snow of the winter--only about 1" at 6,000 ft. here, but I know there's more on the higher peaks. At last!

Iyt was great to wake up to sunshine this morning. We had about 3.5 inches of rain here in Santa Maria. Further north it was up over 6 inches. A reallky lousy weekend.
