I had hoped to take this to the Round Table, but it looks a little scary over there. Hope you don't mind that I ask this here? Does anyone own a tablet notebook? I'm thinking of getting one and would just like to hear some opinions. Thanks!

It's a laptop or notebook, only you can write on the screen with a stylus. The screen swivels so that it lies flat as the writing surface and as the cover when not in use. Sounds like a nifty idea, I just don't know anyone who has one and how well the handwriting software works or how often it really gets used. Anyone?

Ditto on the RT. THOSE guys are NUTS!
I've seen them advertised for years, and they look super-neat! But... I've never actually known ANYONE who actually bought one.
If you look at the tech specs, they are almost ALWAYS very underpowered machines compared to standard laptops. I've never understood that.
What I'd really like to have is one of those electronic pads the crew on the show ENTERPRISE use. They don't look all that futuristic, sort of like oversized PDAs. I don't mean the "padds" from the Next Generation, those are just props... The ones on Enterprise look like they could actually be pracical.
