I've replaced photos in an existing auction, but have never used eBay's mechanism to add a photo. Where does it go in the listing? Does it mess with existing photos? Is it added at the bottom?
Any insight would be appreciated, as I have an auction for which I'd like to add a photo, but don't really want to replace the existing ones (although there is a candidate for that if I HAVE to). To see my auction format, see auction # 6027532411.

Claude: Do you list through Vendio? It's easy that way. I can't recall all the steps in Vendio right this moment, but if you want them, let us know.

When you add the pic through Vendio, it puts it at the bottom of the listing. It does not replace the other pics.

I just took a big breath and added the photo just like I would add additional text via eBay's Revise Your Auction. It added the photo at the VERY bottom of the listing (i.e., not in my description proper)... better than nothing I guess.

You can cut and paste the html further up in the description if you want to. Ebay will let you preview before you submit the revision so you can cancel the revision if it doesn't work out.
By the way, to add via Vendio, go to Image Hosting, find the pic, put a checkmark next to it and select add to listing>existing eBay listing>then paste in the eBay item number. It will still add it to the very bottom of the listing.

Do you have bids on the item? If not, you can revise the description in ebay and put the image right in the description (probably at the top unless you are very talented with HTML). This is the link you use to add the picture- use the center if you want it centered:
<center><p><center><img src="http:YOUR IMAGE URL GOES HERE.jpg">
You can scroll through the HTML of "revise description" past all the template stuff and find the "meat" of you description and add the above image HTML just above where it starts.
My descriptions have this in the HTML: <!-- BEGIN IMAGES AND DESCRIPTION LAYOUT -->..You would add the image HTML after that (maybe do a CTRL-F to find that wording?

I don't use Vendio image hosting, but if I wanted to add a picture to an auction that already had bids, and I didn't want to add it to the bottom, I would use PhotoShop or PhotoDeluxe to concatenate two pictures (one already in the auction and the new one), then rename the concatenated image with the name of the existing picture.
I'd upload it to my server, refresh my browser, et voila. Picture added.

OOPS! Didn't see the bids. PERFECT idea Fluffy! Even the "click to enlarge" should work then. Don't forget to name the comobined image EXACTLY the same as the one you are replacing and EMPTY RECYCLE BIN before uploading new image.

Here you go Claude....not sure this is where you want to put it but the method works swell - all you have to do is rename it the same as image you are replacing.
