What mean intentional slams? I haven't read any. If you mean the comment by sparks: The third one is definitely for cooking escargot. The second one is for aebleskiver. (Beat ya to it, Lucy), that was said all in fun. That thread was funny and I'm sure Fluffy can see the humor in it now that it's been so long ago. I don't think anyone here is holding ill-feelings. I know that I'm not.

Please elaborate on the "mean intentional slams".

Edited to fix a word.

What happened?
She was posting in the bubble wrap thread? Her posts are being pulled inbetween here to there?

She is editing her own posts. They aren't being "pulled".

Fluff,

I never got ta know ya in your previous incarnations on this forum, but had seen references to you. You came back, and I always had an eye out for your posts, because they were a couple of standard deviations north of the usual stuff.

You're obviously a free agent, and not obligated to enlighten and entertain us with your posts, but I will miss you too if you're gone.

I certainly hope I didn't offend fluff in the bubble-wrap thread. Fluff's reply was edited out. I didn't mean anything bad by it ~~ I thought it was a great idea. Thanks

I didn't think that thread was funny at all. I felt uncomfortable with all of the tittering going on (at Fluff's expense) and was not surprised to see her response. I don't think any of us likes being made the butt of old jokes that were not funny in the first place. Perhaps the comments were not intentionally "mean" but all of them put together seemed like they were defintitely intended to stir up the embers. Inside jokes are never entertaining to those on the outside and I don't blame her if she felt like she was being ganged up on.

Neglus, I always find its funny when SOME ONE Else's sore point are brought back around again again and its just for fun, or so everyone says. But as prooven time again, its never quite that way when YOURE on the end of the burning end of the marshmellow stick. But some people never do get it. Even when they've been there themselves.

Fluffy has so much knowledge and is such a fun poster! Even if she was a bit cruel at times in the past, it wasnt going that way this time around by all appearances. If she chooses not to post here, alot of things will get missed. As imo, she thinks on a higher level than most people have the capability to give thought to.

She'll be back - maybe - in awhile.

Fluffy can take care of herself very well and she did in the original offending thread. Only Fluffy knows why she does what she does. But, you have to admire her tenacity and her stick-to-it-tiveness I can't see Fluffy jumping ship over one comment made in jest.

I don't post questions or answers here much, except when I need help from this community. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I always look forward to everyone's responses. I am not able to read all posts, thus miss out on "old jokes" that I don't know the history of, or care to know. I feel like I've unintentionally started something that other people have responded to.

To fluffy if you're reading this thread: Again, I apologize if I unintentionally started a thread that was offensive to you. I have no idea what this "old joke" is even about, thus I feel I didn't start something. I am genuinely looking for help, don't know past history of this "issue", and really appreciated your answer. I respectfully thank you.

Maybe I started the problem by asking the names of those odd items--cast-iron cooking gizmos. But I have no idea what's happened to Fluffy. About the aebleskivers--I didn't see the very first thread long ago about them so came into that a bit ignorant as to why it was so funny. I just thought it was funny the way it kept resurrecting itself.

Anyway, I'd like to see Fluffy back here. She adds a lot to our discussions.

Are aebleskivers wolfbane to cats???

I did not know there was a problem there.

I thought the aebleskivers comments refuse to die just because it is so much fun saying aebleskivers. AeBLeSKiVeRs, AEBLSKivers, aeBLeSKiVeRS, AEBLESKIVERS....

Even more fun is that great picture of Ms Lucy using pointed sticks on poor defensless apples bound in their doughie straigh jackets!

Notes included with recipe: For those of you who are unfamiliar with
aebleskive, it is a baked delight made with a pancake-like batter,
cooked in a special pan that turns the aebleskive into a crusty ball,
and is known as the "Danish Doughnut." As you can tell, it is a little
difficult to give aebleskive an easy definition other than to tell you
that it is good enough to go ahead and order the pans if you are
likely to serve breakfasts and brunches to family and friends.

Aebleskive pans are available through most gourmet cookware shops or
can be ordered from Pea Soup Andersen's Santa Ynez Valley Wine Center,
(805)-688-5581.

Still not sure why fluffy vanished here and removed most of her current post. I to must be missing something. It is a shame though because this is the only community board I visit on a regular basis and I alway's looked forward to her post. As far as her having any personal problems I don't know and I don't think it's any of our business. It is afterall her personal life. If she is, I wish her all the best. She is alive though and on "the other" community board and has posted there as recent as today. I just hope she finds her way back here.
