Hi all,
I've taken a long time off from eBaying. I'm no power seller by any means, just a casual part-timer thinking of gearing up (again) for more. I was always impressed by what is now Venido and especially this community. Even after a long layoff, I still find it enjoyable and helpful.

My question is, the eBay operation seems to have changed a lot making it very easy to manage auctions in every way. So, what's the advantage to using Venido as an intermediary? I know I'm being lazy and could do a lot of work on my own spending time on comparisons, but thought I'd try you folks first.

Thanks for your info

For me one of the major advantages is it's a huge time saver. It only takes me a couple of seconds to create a listing. All my preferences are saved, templates pre filled in and all I really have to punch in is a description and shipping weight, then sellect which photo's to attach and walla, it's ready for launch. I find Vendio's Image Hosting very easy to use with Sales Manager also. The whole package is just a breeze. Of course like anything automated there is a glitch from time to time but that happens everywhere. Just look at all the screw up's ebay themselves have had in the last month or so. All in all, with Vendio I can create a higher quantity of listing's in a shorter time that are professional looking and with hosted pictures of higher quality my end prices have gone up since I started using them. End result, less time and more cash in pocket

Vendio lets you schedule listings, post mulitple images (and doesn't resize them) for free. I personally think that eBay's relist features, ability to bulk edit and send items to store, far exceed Vendios's current capabilities.

The savings on photos pays my Vendio fees, so it's essentially free for me. Hosting your own photos is relatively inexpensive, but I'm already set up on Vendio, and have a lot of SMPro files that I can re-use, so I don't think I'm going anywhere.

I use Vendio for the gallery only. eBay's Selling Manager Pro is the best tool I have used for post-sale management and I have tried them all. I use Turbo Lister for creating my ads. While any pictures more than one cost you $0.15, it is far better for me than to give up a percentage of my sales. When I am running my peak amount of listings which is about 100 per week, my total fees for creating and managing my listings is less than $25 per month which includes Selling Manager Pro, A few extra pictures with eBay and Vendio Gallery.

The listing page, the gallery, and especially the image hosting--these are the reasons I LOVE Vendio.

Thanks all, I'm staying here to list. Post sales management seems easier on eBay, but I'll figure it out. Thanks for all the responses

I used Chanel Adviser back when it was Auction Rover, I liked it but I think Vendio is a lot better and much cheaper. I really like the Vendio Gallery.

Channel Advisor is cheaper and they do not take a percentage of sales.

You're kidding right? Channel Advisor charges 10 cents each for listings that DON'T sell (CLOSINGS in their terminology). That would cost people with a store a small fortune every month.

I have tried everything at one time or another. For me, right now, the best solution is SAPro (offline eBay tool) for listing, SMPro (online eBay tool)for post-sales, and my own website for image hosting.

I used to love Marketworks, but they just got too buggy to live with.

Vendio is the easiest to use, and has some of the prettiest templates. The fees are reasonable, but not the best.

I think the most difficult part of auction selling is finding the tools that are right for you. And what is right this year, may not be right next year.

I was one of the original users of Vendio (called AuctionWatch) at the time I started, around late 1998 or 97. I have used the Vendio store since it was offered, sometime in early 2000.

Anyway, everytime something new (like Vendio services ) comes along or eBay updates their services (usually connected with another fee hike) I compare Vendio to the new service and always find out Vendio is cheaper and as just as good or better.

What else can I say. Oh, thank you Vendio.

Replay,

It all depends on your needs. The one thing I did not like about CA was the store items could not be listed as GTC. For someone that runs a few hundred items a month, it is cheaper.
