Every ebay photo I use is stored on Vendio. Recently my computer crashed and I lost my photo library. Does anyone know if there's a way to download my Vendio photos back to my computer. I do have FTP.
I'm not thinking of stopping Vendio Image Hosting, I'd just like to be able to if necessary. If anyone knows of a way, please let me know.

If you use SMPro all you have to do is synch SMPro with Vendio and it will download all of the pictures you have in Image Hosting.

SMP will download it to your PC or it use to in the original format. Don't know if it will do the original format size now or not. Yep just looked it is in my folder
img_intern_storage folder 001 in this file order C:/Program files/Vendio/img_intern_storage/001/001
(why the double 001 I have no idea. The 002 folder has thumbnail views in it. )
For anyone who has had SMP for a long time it also has images you thought you deleted long time ago stored in other folder called old_images_pre_6.01 Just a heads up on having old deleted images still in your SMP files in case you want to delete and save disk space. Oh this saved my butt 2 weeks ago as an image was deleted from Vendio time up and I for some reason didn't find it on my PC even in search but did find it in the Vendio folder in above subfolder. Why it didn't show up in search I have no idea as it was named right -- talk about weird.
All you need to do is install SMP and do a syncronization it downloads the images. Does for me anyway.
Would be faster than doing separate from the web.

Is Intern your Vendio user id? Do I substitute my user id in place of Intern?
What I have is HTP Home. I don't have SMPro. But I can try it.

no intern is not user ID just name of that folder that SMpro set up. Or at least on my PC it is name it set I certainly didn't name it--- I don't think. LOL
Download SMP from Vendio install it and set it up with your information at Vendio. Your user ID and password I think is all it needs. If you set up Vendio with your ebay account etc that information is set up in SMP when you sync the program.
I am not sure I know what HTP Home is. Is it a FTP program? Vendio has an upload type only upload program I use all the time but it does not download to your PC just upload to Vendio. Don't use FTP much anymore as it leaves ports open I don't want open into my PC .. The upload may do that but I don't think so.

OH there is somewhere in the settings that ask if you want to download images stored at Vendio I found that by accident one day but I think the default will download the images. But if it ask that question on set up be sure to choose option to download images to SMPro... Can't remember where I saw that but if you sync the program and your images are not there then poke around and find setting that says to do it or not to do it.
Thought I better throw that in just in case you run into it. May have been in my last update of the program that I saw that option just slept since then. Good luck.

Thanks Mike! I upload images from 3 different computers and had to wipe one of them clean. I'd like to have them in one place and never even thought about synching with SMPro. Brilliant!

I also like SMPro because when I am uploading hundreds of pictures I can still be logged into vendio and doing other things. If you upload online with vendio or using the bulk upload feature you can not be on vendio at the same time doing other thing's. Saves me lots of time. I have also grown to like SMPro better than the online version and now use it to make all my auctions.

Mike, that was a good catch. I saw the question, but have to admit that I didn't even think about using SMPro to synch up. Dang!
Maybe it's because having another copy of the photos is a pain rather than a boon (i.e., they're already on my file server and Vendio, why do I need them on my listing PC?). I'll eventually find a way to rationalize why I didn't think of it first

Only reason I use the upload tool is in past I have found when I upload a lot of pictures with SMPro it may and has errored out on me during the upload process. So to avoid that situation I just upload usually large amounts with the upload tool. Granted that when I sync SMP it then downloads the images into SMP but it is very fast with my connection.
Cash-- You can choose an option not to download images into SMP but if you use that to do auctions then you need way to attach them in SMPro.
I do all my auctions in SMPro and think it great, much easier than online, turbolister or ebays sell page with limitations of photos .

Irked,
I do use that option. That means that if I'm editing an auction (for relisting, for example) , I have to reattach photos to the listing, but that's not a large price to pay (the photos are still on my file server) as it happens seldom.
I also list only with SMPro. I guess people's tastes differ, but the couple of times I tried using Vendio's online lister (because of the lag in updating SMPro with new shipping options), I quickly went back to SMPro.
