I've recently set up my own merchant account and I would like to use it for processing my eBay cc payments.

Problem is I'm not sure what would be the easiest/best way to set it up (buyer-wise) without going through one of the third-party auction services.

Ideally I would like to set it up where all the information is already entered and all they would have to do is click on a "Pay Now" button to enter their credit card info.

Is this possible? Any suggestions?

years ago, some Ebay sellers would have a web site where bidders can enter their cc info and the amount.
I guess you can have someone program for you so the closed auction results could be uploaded to that site so your bidder can find his auction(s) and pay you .
But what are you going to do with combined shipping??

Thanks for the response hwahwa.

The type of widget I sell generally is only bought in quantities of one or two at the most, so very seldom do I have a need to combined shipping.

I've got a website already set up, so I guess I'll just have to find a way to create an order with all the auction details so I can send the buyer a payment link.

I'm always online when my auctions end and I never have more than 10 at a time, so entering the auction details wouldn't really be a problem.

Most of my customers pay immediately and I was hoping to find a way to make it easy for them to do this and avoid having the buyer have to enter the details (bid price, shipping) themselves.

Oh well...I'll just keep looking. LOL

What we did at work is tell people to call us on our toll free number.

I know for our website, people simply enter their credit card info on our secure site, then we physically run the number in our merchant account. Since you are only doing about 10 auctions a day, it would be very easy for you to manage taking the card numbers directly. I would think that you could send a payment link to your own secure website where a person could fill out a very simple form to send payment.

Good luck.

I wish there was an easy way to do what you are asking. I have been looking for a while and have not found a way to do it securely. I put a form on my website and tried to make it secure so that when the buyer sends the form it is send encypted. Did not work to good for me, so I just have the customer call me with there CC info.

Let me know if you find a way I am really interested in doing the same thing, I am tired of waiting on paypal, they froze my account because a person claimed that they did not receive the item over x-mas I send them the tracking number and its been over 2 wks. I emailed (paypal)them and they told me that it could take up to a month for them to investigate and unlock my paypal account, in the mean time I have store listings with the paypal logos and when the customer tries to buy and pay with paypal they get a message that says that I am not taking orders via paypal at this time... PAYPAL S@#KS...

By the way can anyone suggest a good 800 service to use?

I may have found the solution!

It's LinkPointCart http://www.linkpointcart.net/index.php3

They offer a free 14 day trial, which I've been experimenting with all day on test/BIN auctions and it seems to be working great.

It even automatically emails the winning bidder when the auction is over giving them the link to make payment.

I just listed my first real auction so I'll be able to see the final results in about 5 days.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice and help. I'm keeping notes of all the suggestions in case this cart doesn't work out.

Edited to add:

chessguy - This cart is on a secure site itself and takes care of all the security. It works directly through my merchant account and it had several others listed, so maybe your MA is one of them that will work seamlessly.

TnErnie ....Please do let us know how it goes with this site. I would very much like to use my own merchant account instead of paypal.I do not have the problems (right now) that have been aformentioned but I would like to cut my cost somewhere.I do shows and need the merchant account for that but at the moment paypal accounts for a good 80% of my ebay sales payments. Thanks for looking around for a possible alternative...

I emailed linked pointcart and they said that they have an exclusive agreement with Card Service International. They said that you have to sign up with Card Service International Merchant service to use there cart system. So I requested info from cardservice Int. to compare rates with my current merchant account.

The cart system looks really easy to use and according to there site it will work with ebay auctions. This will be a good thing if you can use it on your website and use it with ebay auctions.

We will see.
