Why don't my auctions fill the web page, as in the preview? I use a table at 100% width. And then,at least, why are they not centered on the page?
I've looked around but can't figure it out. Why or tell me where to go to fix. Thanks! mrs.m

Can you give us a auction number for one you are having a problem with so we can see what the exact problem is?

They look ok to me. They're centered.

When I bring up the auction, your description box is on the left hand side of the page. Is that what you are talking about?

Sorry, but I don't know how to adjust anything...maybe one of the posters that has experienced this type of problem will come along and give you the answer.

Yeah, everything is squished over to the LEFT, taking up only about 60% of the available space!

I did a VIEW SOURCE and nuttin junps out, but, did you INSERT a TABLE onto a VENDIO TEMPLATE? Mayhaps it could be over-riding the "100% WIDTH" that the VD template is set to??

Sorry, I leave all the HTML to my EXPERT, & he's currently snoring in his CASTLE (re: cage)

It's centered on my machine using 800x600 screen resolution. On a screen set at a higher resolution (like 1028), it might not fill the screen...

Brown frame around auction is perfectly centered. I don't understand what you're seeing.

The FamilyBiz is right. Centered perfectly for 800 x 600 resolution, off-center for others

Did you try the Vendio Service board - maybe they can help you fix it.

That is strange. The top ebay portion is full width but everything else is at about 60% or so centered to the left. I'm not sure if it is vendio though because not only the vendio generated part is off center but the ebay portion at the bottom is also off center. You might try ebay live help, though they are usually no help at all and do nothing but make thing's worse by making me mad. The best bet would be to email vendio tech help and get their input. Looks like the little html gremlins have been at it again.

Well I right clicked on the background portion of the vendio portion in the description and then view page source. I was looking through the html code and I think I may have found the problem. It's about 55%-60% of the way down in the code. In the blue section I found this:

solid;padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt'><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.9in;text-indent:-.05in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2;

I am by no means any type of html guru but I do see "style='margin-left:". Would have to get some input from someone a little more fluent in html code and see what they say.

Thanks all so much for your time and input. You're right - I've gotten no response from the Ebay Answer Center. I posted the question to Vendio Services so I'll see what they think.
This is the first time I've used a Vendio frame but a revised auction (with blank template) is the same way. What's really goofy is that #8376600974 (1 of 12)is fine. I don't think I did anything different. It was done right in the middle of my listing session.
Thank you again. I welcome anymore ideas. It's not that bad of a thing - just kind of irksome.

I wonder if ebay is doing some tweaking. I had some items come up with VERY strange alignment this weekend..of course I didn't write anything down becuase I was (as usual) in a hurry to ship.

I got an answer from the Answer Center! (please disregard previous gripe....) He said: You have an unclosed table somewhere in your code. Add a set of table closing tags to the end of your description:
</td></tr></table> .
It worked. Now I have to figure out where it wasn't closed off - my table, Vendio or Ebay. I use to use Front Page but don't have it anymore. Now I'm using Word. Bet it's there somewhere.
Thanks again, everybody.

Mikeboy,

Yes, your "code" does have an unclosed table tag, and a few tens of other 'anomalies'. Do yourself (and more importantly your potential customers) a huge favour and clean up your html code in a real html editor i.e. a non-MS product. Your eBay listings will load faster, look better, and your teeth will be brighter (well maybe not the last part).
