I don't know why they have to remove them if the link is dead and BidPay doesn't exist anymore but here's the discussion on Store Board:

This is going to be a PIA and eBay can KMA! They will also be doing it with auctions mentioning AuctionChex. Like I have the time to revise all my listings. There are over 200 of them. I'm sick of eBay telling me how to run my business.

After three requests, Vendio has refused to remove the picture of Bidpay in my store items. I hope they reconsider!

AuctionBytes has as write-up about it, too. apparently, after Bidpay folded, eBay decided to put Bidpay on the banned lists...without specifically telling sellers that...

Well makes sense for eBay. After all PayPal is the one true religion, and all others are infidels in the sight of eBay. eBay Akbar! Death to the infidels!

As of 1 minute ago, Bidpay is still listed by Ebay as an acceptable payment method.

Not to be on Ebay's goofed up side here, but why would you want bidpay listed in your auctions anyway? They are out of business. Done. No longer exsist. No need for the headache of a bidder bidding on your item, thinking that they can use bidpay.
I do disagree with the ending of auctions that mention it, but I would do all of my relists with corrected payment options.

Stone...I agree, I don't want Bidpay showing in my auctions either now that they are TU. I removed all mention of them in my default text, including the logos. When I list a new auction, there is no mention of Bidpay. The problem is in the relists. Even though Bidpay has been removed from preferences, it will still show as an option in Vendio created auctions. A relist is essentially a copy of the original auction with the exception of the default text which may be changed prior to relaunch. This is a problem all Vendio users will face on relists where Bidpay was once offered as an option in preferences. Now it becomes a matter of editing the word out of the HTML in the template, or rebuilding the auction from scratch. I wish they would have given us a couple weeks to work on this before they decided to start nuking auctions.

Well I don't know about what you are talking about it being in relist, I just relisted about 19 things a few days ago did relist of auctions created months ago and Bidpay did not show up in them at all. Am I missing something with the edit it out of templates did you make a template with Bid pay permanently in it? Think I am lost to what the problem is other than stores listing that would still have it showing if they were launched before Bidpay went belly up or Dec 31?
Note I do not have store anymore so I do auction only just wondering if I am totally off? Yes I know I am but from reading this thread I am confused.
Sparkz Quote== "The problem is in the relists. Even though Bidpay has been removed from preferences, it will still show as an option in Vendio created auctions A relist is essentially a copy of the original auction with the exception of the default text which may be changed prior to relaunch "
I relisted 3 auctions created several months ago before I had changed a lot of the default text and when it was relaunched it had my current default text in place of the old one --- though it showed in preview at Vendio Bidpay did not show in auctual auction ( carefully checked that out before relisting all of them because no matter what i did at Vendio they still showed at Vendio and that had me frazzeled somewhat until actual launched auction showed new text and payment preferences. So my relist are going ok.
I had already taken and changed my Payment preferences when Ebay and Vendio sent a notice out about Bidpay no longer being a valid payment option and that was back in December if I remember right.
I just checked again on SMPro even though I have done listings with it too this week another thing screwy is that Bid pay still shows up in payment section as a logo but when I list the auction it is not there in listing. I have syncronized several times hoping it would update but it does not. So anyone know what is up with that?

Thank you Vendio, for reconsidering and finally removing BidPay from my store listings. The last response to my complaint was responded to January 8 "As all links to use Bidpay are removed, the fact that you have the logo in your payment section should not cause any inconvenience for buyers.
Best,
Abe"

I can't find "BidPay" in any of my store items (some are pretty old) or auctions. Vendio wiped out the links and graphics and I think even the words in "Payment" section of the listing template. THANK YOU VENDIO!

hi neglus,
did you use vendio's reviser? I need to remove Bidpay from my store items as well and the thought of manually going in is frightening.

thank you Neglus for your quick replay. No, vendio has not removed my mention of Bidpay in my listings. I currently have over 600 and I remember manually removing the stupid word cash before the holidays. It took forever. I have emailed Ebay 2 days ago and still no answer. As I am no longer a power seller, who knows when they will get back to me. But I surely don't want to have them shut down all my listings as it takes a HELL OF A LOT OF TIME TO PUT them there. When they shut down listings, they eliminate from their server, so you are SOL, big time.

Irked...I found the culprit! First, in my original auctions, I had the Bidpay link/logo embedded in my default text by using the HTML provided on their site. Deleting that from the default got rid of the logo on all new listings plus all relists. The problem was in the section in preferences called "Types of payment I accept". I had checked off check, money order, and other. After "other" I typed in Bidpay in the box. When Bidpay closed, I deleted Bidpay and unchecked the "other" box. This got rid of Bidpay in new auctions, but a copy of the original preferences was still showing up on relists and causing Bidpay to show up in my auctions. I did a sample relist this afternoon, and edited before launching. As I scrolled down the preferences, sure enough, there was the "other" box checked and the word Bidpay in the text box. I unchecked the other and deleted Bidpay and saved the page and launched it. Bidpay was not in the auction. I guess it will be necessary to repeat this on the rest of the relists until I can get then all changed.

Sparkz I am not having trouble relisting from Vendio now with logo showing but the SMP still shows it in preview but auctions launch and are ok with no logo go to this thread to see my question for Vendio it has an image of the offending logo and yep still today it is showing think my syncs are not getting the corrected ebay xml??? who knows they have not answered my question yet. But at least the auctions are ok just preview in SMP is bogus.

Vendio is showing you a copy of the original auction. Luckily, it is launching the revised copy. Did you change your preferences and edit out Bidpay at Ebay or Vendio? One thing I noticed is I listed an item before Christmas and had a line in the description saying that it would make a great Christmas gift. During the after Christmas promo, I relisted it and when I looked at it there was still the Christmas gift line. I edited it out at Ebay. I just recently launched a copy of that closed auction for an identical item. It showed up on Ebay with the Christmas gift line back in it. I had to edit it out again. Vendio apparently does not keep revisions made on Ebay. A closed auction will not relist with Ebay applied revisions in the text. The original text as launched from Vendio is what will go to Ebay.

Sparkz, Yes I had corrected the Vendio options and really never promoted Bidpay other than the Logo next to paypal and credit cards logo in payment options. It is just wierd it shows up even in New auctions I just created on preview but like I said it does not show up in the auction once launched to ebay it is a glitch in SMPro as far as I can see.

Hi. I don't use Vendio, so does anyone know of some type of service that can remove the mention of Bidpay in over 1,000 store listings? It would literally take forever doing it manually!
Thanks!
