Has anyone agreed to have Unwired Buyer link activated?
I decided to pass on the opportunity. Even with the possibility of a $5.00 reward, I hesitate to do so. After the foolishness with BidPay, I have soured on anything extra on my item descriptions.

Unwired buyer is a free service. Buyer clicks link and enters contact info. A couple of minutes before auction ends it calls the bidder (usually a cell phone) and lets them know if they are the high bidder and gives them the option to increase their bid.
I think this may have been OKed by ebay. I heard it mentioned by Griff on one of those ebay radio shows a week or so ago.
They say your memory's the second thing to go, I just can't remember what the first thing is.

Vendio is already offering it and I take it if they are offering it to put on your auctions then Ebay MOST likely has ok's it. I did go ahead and let it put that small notice on my last few auctions and it is small.
My question is if you do get referrals does Vendio really give you credit. I did the Paypal thing back when they first started up and got a few referrals but never got paid for them Paypal said they didn't confirm the account with a bank account so I got stiffed once again.

I Googled it and on one review site a person stated they would be a little reluctant to give their cell phone number to an online service such as this. It could be a scheme to harvest numbers and sell them to telemarketers.

How does UnWired Buyer work?
1. Vendio provides you a unique referral link to promote the UnWired Buyer service (see link above).
2. If selected, Vendio will automatically insert a promotional link in your listings* that allows buyers to register for UnWired Buyer and for you to make more money automatically.
3. Registered UnWired Buyer users can select to receive an automated call on any and all current auctions on their Watch list & Bid list.
4. 3 minutes before each auction closes, UnWired Buyer calls your buyers, updates them on the current price status and allows them to bid directly from their phone.
5. New users who register for UnWired Buyer through your referral link and keep an active account for 7 days are qualified for a referral payment. This payment is calculated at $0.50 PLUS $0.05 for every feedback point the buyer has at the time of registration (so a 10 feedback buyer qualifies for $1.00 and a 90+ feedback buyer would qualify for the max referral amount of $5.00). Your referral amounts will be credited to your account on a monthly basis.
