I know this has been around the block a lot of times but I am still not sure what to tell the buyer. I have a potential sale from my non-eBay shop from a buyer in England. They say they are not registered with PayPal and ask for another option. I can try to talk them into PayPal but am not too enthusiastic about it since I think there is no recourse against charge backs (or did that just change?) and I don't feel comfortable with putting $200 plus shipping at risk.

My bank says not to give out routing numbers. Again I know the advise for some here is that that is OK.

Since many of you make a lot of international sales what are my options.

Thanks for suggestions.

Western Union Money transfer. They can send it online or go to a Western Union office. Money is wired to the US and you stop by your local Western Union branch and pick up the cash or check if they do not have the cash on hand. Either way you get guranteed funds with no chance of the deal going bad for you and the buyer is the one that pays the fee's so you get the full amount.

You can find WU branchs everywhere from banks, grocery stores, etc... Just check there website for your local branch. http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp

Easiest might be to point them to Eddie St.Clair of AuctionChex and use their service. You'll receive a US check drawn on a US bank which your regular bank can cash (usually for free).

Does AuctionChex work for non-auction sales?

I guess Westen Union may be the best.
