I just found this one in an auction I was looking at:

PLEASE SET YOUR SPAM FILTER TO ACCEPT MAIL FROM: [email protected]

How is this okay when it isn't permitted by eBay??? Very clever way to work in your e-mail address, I must say.

I still say the whole policy is kind of contradictory...

If the purpose of disallowing email addresses in listings is to simply discourage fee circumvention... I don't see why this wouldn't be a valid reason to post an email address. I also don't think it should be wrong to put in an email address telling people to contact you if they have any questions about the item listed. Both of those are ways to help increase eBay business.

What shouldn't be allowed is something like:

email me here so we can discuss how I can offer you this item at a discount

Overall... the current way they've set up this policy is just stupid.

Your contact e-mail is allowed in your contact info of your auction page.

Just not as your ebay ID. And as long as you don't state to contact you directly to purchase.
