I haven't listed anything in awhile. Recently put up a few auctions. Tried to view the e-mail addresses of my bidders. Was not able to. I'm sure this has been covered already but I must have missed it. Has this ability been taken away in an Ebay enhancment?

Yes, you guessed it - another move by our eBay overlords to put obstacles in the way of bidder-seller communication...

I can see the email addresses sometimes. Must be a glitch on Ebay's end.

Hit the "customize" button on your sold items..there is an option to view buyers by email address or user name - I just tried and it works (shows both actually)

You can also set it to show the email addresses under 'Preferences' in My eBay. It's down towards the bottom of the page under General Preferences.

That's great to know Neglus & TnErnie. I spent 30 minutes looking the other day and finally gave up and come to Vendio and got it right away.
What really irritates me is that it's like most of my winners these days don't want to let me know their email address. They only want to communicate by way of ebay??? What's up with that? I've got over 1700 FB's so it's not like I'm going anywhere. I feel like saying if you can't give me your email address - please don't bid. But I'm not stupid.

Because, like many of the sellers that post here - bidders have been made completely paraoid about emails and rather than teaching people to protect themselves and use common sense they have been taught to hide behind ebays skirts.

It could be that they are rightfully leery of emails as phishers are getting more sophisticated. I buy and sell on eBay. A seller's 'need' to to communicate with me outside of eBay takes a back seat to my online security. Yes, I'm educated as to what to do and not do in email. It can still happen when you get tons of eBay related email.

You can view the e-mail address of the high bidder on your seller search page. You have to be logged in to do it and it is only viewable by the seller. If that person is outbid, then their e-mail will not show and the new high bidders e-mail will show. Then at the end of the auction, the e-mail will only be available for two weeks afterwards. Frankly, it is very dumb. Ebay wants sellers money, but don't want sellers to make any.
