I am going to visit my mom for 2 weeks and am bringing my auction postcards with me. I can't possibly bring along my 6500 store items.
I plan on leaving my store open and don't really want to use the store vacation setting because of the auctions.
For some time I have been using an image file in my listings to promote a discount offer with the idea that when I went on vacation, I would replace the discount promotion with a vacation announcement. However, there are still about 5000 of my store listings that do not have the text box (pre-date my use of the image-thingy).
Now that Vendio has the "Reviser", I can add this image file to ALL of my store listing in a flash. It will announce my vacation and then my promotion when I replace the image. As long as name a new image the same name as the one I am adding, it can be used for just about anything!
I plan on replacing this:

Hi neglus,
In the future, you can even take that idea one step further if you want and seed your listings with invisible image files.
These files would be, say, 1 pixel by 1 pixel white squares (so they'd be invisible in your listings) but when you needed to make an emergency insertion in all your listings, you just rename one of them to your announcement file.
I decided to do this after being faced with the impossibility of revising or adding to hundreds of auctions at the last minute when having to travel due to a death in the family.
I change the header on my auctions several times a month by making a symbolic link to the new file but I could just as easily rename it.

Fluffy - same idea. My listings since last summer all have the image box and I use it as an announcement now but could just as easily put a 1 pixel image instead (I just have to name the image the same each time).
Cheryl - the reviser is used to get in all my listings I created BEFORE I added the image file.
