What would the listing fee be on $5,015,000.00? I think there is no danger that he will have to pay the final value fee.

He claims these are the oldest existing photographs and I always thought it was View from the Window at Le Gras from 1827! Guess I am not the history of photography scholar I thought I was.

Now that is a scam if I ever saw one.

Just the listing fee with no options at all for a basic listing starting at $2,525,000.00 would be $54.80 and the one starting at $1,245,000.00 would also be $54.80. So for both the total basic listing fee would be $109.60. Plus any options.

Now if they sell (for the starting price) the total of the listing fee and the FVF for each would be.

$2,525,000.00 fee's would be $37,895.36
$1,245,000.00 fee's would be $18,695.36

Calculated with http://auctionfeecalculator.com/us_ebay_fee_calc.html

That is plain weird. One of the negative photos looks just like the x-ray of a skull with orbital foramina, sinuses, ethmoid you name it, plus bone looking structures not found in human skulls. My wife (Retired X-ray Technician)says looks like superimposed skull x-rays over it in a way but looking at regular image shows some of the features too. Way weird but not worth that amount of money well not me anyway. .

LOL. Fenix my wife doesn't have an ID for board here. She likes the computer geek boards I think. I showed her the auction and we both agree you would have to be on LSD to interpret his auction. I got lost on first sentence. Best I could tell he was on defensive from the getgo, heck of way to try and sell anything.

I just asked because Linbra is a former poster here that is also a former rad tech. I am the spawn of two myself. When you mentioned the superimposed films it reminded me of some of the stuff my dad used to bring home (he worked in a teaching hospital and sometimes they would take "fun shots" when the patient load was low but someone needed extra work on exposures n such). My fav was the guy with "money on his mind" aka - $50 bill in the middle of a skull.

Yes my wife was at a teaching hospital too and she describes simular antics. But funniest stories are of foreign bodies found in the body that mostly prisoners did to get out of jail.. When we first got married back in 1972 she was just about to finish her schooling and she had a chest size film that was an enlarged hand shooting the bird - middle finger. She said they did that by holding the hand up from the film cassette and that magnified it. It was a great conversation piece to say the least. Now she says how stupid it was for the students to play around like that due to radiation exposure even though it didn't take long to learn that in her training. She went on to be an associate professor in the schooling program when it went in with the the local University. Well they called her an associate professor cause she taught the practical on job learning at the hospital.

My mom went on to departmental admin, retired and then ended up having to go back to work part time for the insurance. Now she does bone density testing. My dad went on to teach in a hospital in Saudi Arabia for 10 years before he retired.

Does your wife point out every time a set of films are hung backwards on TV too?

Yes Fenix she does point it out and it pi$$ her off especially when they are upside down. She is always talking about the Medical shows on TV pointing out all their goofs and stuff. She taught students & was supervisor of Surgical and ER x-ray had some real hair raising stories. She says she still misses all of that she enjoyed it so. She was forced to retire because of her back and having 3 surgeries on it which is still very painful for her.

Bet you heard all that kind of stuff too.

Hey Vintage I thought same thing do it and let us know if he responds.

Grew up on dinner time stories of people that didn't quite make it thru the Upper GI series, lots of multiple broken bone accidents and the rather scary number construction workers that managed to nail their workboots to their ankles and feet.

I think back surgeries must be an occupational danger. She not only has the pack pain but nerve problems from scar tissue from the first one. Her third was in Novemeber. Doesn't seem to have helped any.
