Long story short I listed some cigarette coupons they sold real fast Saturday. Last AM (Monday morning) got 3 emails from Ebay stating they were not legal to put on ebay. THIS I didn't know saw many others listed so thought ok will list mine. WRONG! I admit it I didn't know they were Not ok to put on and yes it was my fault for not going to look at all the rules. I will never do that again learn by mistakes I say.

Anyway I get these emails 3 of them one saying the auction was not ok violation of their listing policies - I understand IT was canceled pulled stopped omitted from ebay. Even though it sold & buyer already paid so one question is will Paypal reverse the payment?

Other question is the other 2 emails from ebay the first one was this:
It has come to our attention that your account has violated eBay's Alcohol and Tobacco policy.

Rather than suspend your eBay account at this time, we decided to give you a formal warning. Any future violations of this policy may result in the suspension of your account.

eBay does not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages on its U. S. website, except for certain pre-approved sales of wine and certain sales of collectible containers. Further, non-U.S. members may not conduct alcohol sales with any eBay member residing in the United States.Cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco or coupons for such items are not permitted on eBay.

Then I get this one real close in time frame: early AM Monday morning

Due to a recent violation, this account has temporarily been restricted from selling for a period of approximately 1 Day. While in effect, you will still be able to utilize all other eBay functions. Please check back after 1 Day at which time this restriction will have been lifted. If you have any questions pertaining to this restriction, please see the notice sent at the time of its implementation.

If you have other eBay accounts, this restriction applies also to those accounts. During the term of this restriction, you may not register any new accounts.

Regards,

eBay

Now my question is does this mean listing things for next day there was no day given or time frame. OR more importantly will it mean that my things already listed and closing tonight will be affected. I email ebay and got canned reply that it could take up to 2-3 days for reply but need to know if it will effectively stop my sells tonight?

I have never gotten any thing like this and yes it was my fault for not looking it up and am baffeled as to what that suspension for 1 day means to my soon to close auctions. Thought you good people might know. Boy am I ever going to be more vigilent from now on. Makes me feel real bad I goofed in first place. Any idea out there?

I don't understand the coupon thing. You still have to be 18 to buy them and you're supposed to be 18 to buy on eBay. Seems rather silly to me.

You cannot list from one day from the day you got the notice. Your active auctions are not affected.

More information is available through eBay's Help system. Click on Help at the top of the page and type "tobacco" in the Search box on the Help page.

It pretty much explains the whole thing.

It doesn't sound like a 1-day suspension; when you're NARU'd your auctions are cancelled. "Restriction" seems more appropriate. I would think you would be programmatically prevented from listing during this period.

Thanks everyone, I did have an auction close with a buy it now about 2 hours after those notices and they paid so hopefully the ones closing tonight will be ok.

Does seem like they would make it plain in their emails but selling could mean listing to sell or anything selling , it is a bummer, so weird.

I got all thos links in the first email notice and did check them all out. Just hope the ATF don't come knock down my door. Jezzzz

Oh just an update on buyer, I did offer to refund if he was uncomfortable with it & he still wants the item says he tries to go in and buy them and pay immediately before they get tossed. So guess he has been through this before too. Any thoughts on this? He seems an ok guy, said I could even send them with no return if I wanted. LOL could get stung but don't think so.

irked,

I'd be tempted to complete the transaction with the buyer since they are still happy to do so. At least you'll make them happy with cheap smokes, even if momma eBay isn't happy

well a bunch of them have closed and I got all the right emails regarding them selling and even had a guy request total for UK so guess they are doing ok so far so good.
I was worried for a bit this afternoon wondering if I was going to lose any sells.

But then the 1 day is not over yet. I started to try to do a launch from Vendio to see what headach it might cause but figured don't rock the boat.
