Did only the fools get the day off today? Not only do i have the girl with the shirts but now I have a newbie that has not paid for an item he won on a second chence offer insisting that he should not have to pay and that I shouldn't have filed for non payment because he didn't win the auction. It just doesn't end.

They're a laugh a minute, aren't they? I just got feedback from Canada. "Fast Transaction and Invoice...Just waiting for the item." The item was paid for on Saturday and today is a holiday. I really should email her to tell her she shouldn't leave feedback until the item arrives. With my POS, she's up to 2.

Ummm..Ms.Fenix, could you explain this to me please? You offered a second chance offer to purchase an item originally bid on by this person as he didn't win the original auction?
Are you saying he is obliged to pay for this second chance offer? I'm not a newbie but you have confused me. If I lose an auction, and the seller offers me a second chance, (maybe the winner backed out)..I am not obliged to complete the transaction am I?

No you are not. That's why it's called an "offer". It's probably different, however, if you accept the offer. It's not clear to me whether fenix's buyer accepted the offer or not.

Fenix couldn't have filed for non-payment of the newbie hadn't bid.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.. LOL
I've ignored many second chance offers, never gave it a thought that I was obliged to buy. It bugs me that someone bumps my bid to the max and then that's what I'm offered as a second chance offer of purchase.

They did accept the offer. And now they don't get why they might be expected to pay.

maggiemuggins - don't blame the seller - it's not their fault and that's the only thing they can offer with ebay's blessing.

Fenix sounds like they just thought you were being nice and offering it to them free.
I'm having one of those days too.

I've never had a 2nd chance offer accepted - most people seem to think its a scam by the seller. I gave up on them.
