Yup, and what a FRENZY! Things I NEVER saw before from a Bidder/buyers perspective....I Have been OUTBID!!!!!! and I am on at least FIVE auctions. that camera I bought, they START cheap, $1.00,,,,9.99......I just keep hitting the bid button till it says I am the CURRENT HIGH bidder,,,they end up around $40.00.....$30.00 and that's it! no more...

Then I see one that asks for you to Make an Offer? You CAN'T bid!!!!!!....I send the seller a LOW BALL fig. $25.00. He has a BUY it NOW at $75.00......This camera sold NEW in 2000, for $150.00....a steal @ these prices...

I figure get one for every truck, the places I GO, there is bound to be a shooting, stabbing, robbery,,,,drive by,,riots, whatevers,,,We're talking L.A.

AND the one i did get,,,,All i did was plug it in and it worked, right from the software that was already in my comp from my other one that took a crap,,And OH I listed it and told of the problems and it's even with problems @ $12.00!!!!!!!!! 5 days to go.....another guy bids on ALL of them too.....

Bid,, out bid! Bid again! out bid, BID! you are the high bidder. yippie!!!! you have been OUTBID! crap!

Nope, ain't gonna say,,,,no WAY! too much Competition ALREADY! Great camera!

and the Beat goes on...........

Correct, Jack, but you might want to put the highest amount you're willing to pay for it instead of an arbitrary $20. Or is it NOT arbitrary for you? Is that the highest you want to bid?

Jack, I'm curious, are you hoping to sell the photos? and have you ever done so? I'm asking because sometimes I've taken photos of events in my area if I come across something. Never have tried to sell any yet and wouldn't know how to do so myself.

Jack...About a month ago, I made my first purchase in over 5 years on Ebay. The item already had 2 bids on it. I just waited until the end and sniped it. Got it in the last 6 seconds. I was more thrilled to see that I hadn't lost the sniping touch than I was to win the item. I gotta admit, it sure felt strange leaving him feedback first before he left it for me

BC,,,,,,,tape the hotline phone number of a MAJOR News media on your camera so you ALWAYS have it.....when you GET those shots call them IMMEDIATELY yup, they PAY.....I use to video tape. Had a Camera strapped on my back 24/7 seems like back in the 80's. Got a full on RIOT in Huntington Beach, Surfing Contest.......Cop cars overturned,,,on FIRE! and a Pop Warner Football game that also turned into a fist fight Brawl...Good stuff

Good Luck....You don't MAKE the News you just REPORT it....

Edit,,,,,I was a real shutter bug in Vietnam. I WISH I had bought one of those ? MM Movie Cameras, they must have been pricy back then.

I had my Yashica and my browny instamatic. I remember seeing myself on a moving picture some Marine took back them sure wish I had it....I DO have an AUDIO soundtrack of my last fire fight in Vietnam....bizzare how I came across it. Another time...

thanks Jack. You never know whats going to happen and it's an interesting idea to try to make a few $$ out of what I currently treat as a hobby. If I ever get an opportunity, would I take whatever $ they say they'll pay?

roger that.

If you ever retire Jack (perish the thought), and find the time/energy to do so, finding you have enough interesting/unique pics of not just nam, but others in your military career, ,who's to say that there isn't a book to be written there? There's a million stories out there, why not yours? A lot of people have misconceptions of what did/didn't happen there thanks to all the apologists not to mention hollywood.
