the old decision...TO PLACE A NEGATIVE OR NOT?? I admit sending an incorrect item to buyer. Buyer places a NEGATIVE without FIRST communicating that wrong item was receive. I offer to eat the cost of the wrong item and ship the correct one immediately, with the understanding that the negative would be removed. Well, the buyer receives the new item and ONLY places a follow up with the negative. Along with a e-mail saying..."you need to be more aware of the process". I have yet to place feedback for this item..."let it go" or give buyer a lesson on feedback (mine is 6000+..theirs... only 8 total)?????

I'd leave them a negative in a heart's beat. Mistakes happen... but, you took care of it when it did. You made an agreement with the bidder, he broke it. If you leave them a negative in return, you'll at least have some leverage for a mutual feedback removal.

1) I would leave a neg that states that the buyer has problems with communication and is quick to pull the trigger on Negs.
2) I would follow it up with an email that says "how's that for being aware of the process"
3) I would add a comment to my own feedback which states that an honest mistake was made and corrected as soon as you were made aware of it and that buyer has communication skills & graciousness of a tin can.
But that's just me......

The buyer did the right thing. Left follow up feedback that the mistake was taken care of.
A negative on your part would be petty and childish.

Personally I think that the follow-up was snotty and condescending. I was all for just sending a mutual withdrawal until I saw that.

Wrong-the buyer should have at LEAST contacted the seller BEFORE leaving a negative feedback.
I agree with Fenix-neg the A-HOLE at least you can mutally withdraw feedback....then put the nitwit on your BBL.

Leave a negative - keep it professional and resist the urge to email any flip comments. After a day or two file for a mutual withdrawal and hopefully you will get it.

I don't think the buyer CAN withdraw neg FB. The only way to do it is through MUTUAL FB WITHDRAWAL, which means you have to neg him before you start the process to remove.

I sent the wrong ad to a guy a couple of weeks back. They were very similar. He emailed me, I apologized, said keep it and sent the other right away. He left pos feedback and so did I.
Bottom line is mistakes happen and adults understand this. I'm glad you left a negative.

<<Buyer places a NEGATIVE without FIRST communicating that wrong item was receive>>
Nothing at all childish about leaving a neg for that SOB. Any buyer that leaves a neg for a seller out of the clear blue sky without first giving him a chance to rectify a mistake or problem deserves not only a neg, but needs his ass kicked hard enough to knock a little sense and common courtesy into him. The buyer got exactly what he asked for.
