Well everyone I am leaving. Something happened to all of my files over the weekend and I have been talking to everyone at Vendio until I am blue in the face. I do not need this constant crap that is going on and I can not list anything.
They keep on telling me to be patient but I can not run a business this way. All of my listings in the files on here are corrupted and I can not get anything listed on eBay from here so why pay for it. I will probably end up going with something like Blackthorne (even though it has problems) I can list do revisions etc. and at least I can get help with any problem I might have.
I know a lot of the problems that Vendio is having has to do with trying to keep up with all of the changes eBay is making but I can not sit and wait for the "engineers" to try to figure out what is wrong with my listings.

It was nice knowing you all and good luck,

Bill

Bill - you can still post here - many if not most of the posters on ebay outlook board are not Vendio users, so don't leave just because you are going elsewhere for your sales manager!

Well I kind of thought that. I sent in my cancellation to Vendio. Do not know how long that will take. I hope it is not a week. I will check back on here 'cause I do like a lot of the regulars on here. It is a nice community but I can not operate the business this way.

I will stick around the boards. Another nice thing about Vendio is the community boards here. Very useful.

Sorry your having all the problems with Vendio. I know the feeling sometimes.

Yes I will be around. I get more out of these boards than trying to deal with all of the chaf on the eBay boards. I also want to add that Abe here at Vendio was very helpful.

The problems you are experiencing, Bill, is why I do not use a listing service (not to mention the expense). "My eBay" works well enough for now, until I have the other stores working well, and need more customer tracking. I have listing services through my image hosting service, but don't use them due to the constant 'keeping-up-with-eBay' challenges. It's enough to just keep up with eBay changes working direct!

Pat,

Yes it is hard enough keeping up with eBay. I do have an eBay store and I do not have a lot of items in there yet but I am over 1100 and I have a LOT more to add. The tracking here was helpfull but I also get a lot from my Selling Manager subscription at eBay. I can do a lot better on my own. At least I can list and I have knowledge of HTML and I definately know how computers work so I will be OK. I just needed something to save time. I will find it some where.

BillsHE what kind of problems are you talking about Vendio files messed up or your computer lost the information. I to my knowledge have not had Vendio mess up my files yet KNOCK on wood. I do need to do a backup of all my Vendio files on my PC but guess I am waiting for the lightening bolt to hit me. Or are you talking about inventory here at Vendio? Have they ever fixed it to export our inventory ---shame on me for not keeping up. Enlighten please. I use SMPro to list and Vendio to relist and or find inventory I have already done etc.

Let us know when you find something, Bill. I've looked, but not found another site that will do what I want -- yet.

And good luck! We wish you the best!

I too am knocking on wood, because I've had no problems listing through Vendio - yet. I really like working through them.

My files are messed up on the Vendio site.
I have tried to copy items that I run in my daily auction/fixed price and when they try to launch they go error and it is an error that Vendio has never heard of. I have 2 threads under ME list in the Vendio services section. This all happened after last Friday night when I tried to change to IE from ME and after 4 hours I still had no folders that imported from either ME or eBay. I know that the eBay was uploaded because the photos showed up in my unfiled folder in images but there was no floder in IE. I then went back to ME after about 6 hours with nothing out of frustration because I could not get any work done.

I started to do my normal daily listings and many items were coming up in error. There is no rhyme or reason to the errors and Vendio does not know what they mean or why they happened.

I tried the Inventory Edition less than a month ago and also switched back to Merchandising Edition. Guess I was lucky though as I had no problems with the switch and switch back.

Bill I went and read our post and that is just plain weird. Maybe it is just with those few copies you mad that day and won't happen again? Be worth copying a couple later and see if it still happens. How many auctions you talking about if just 9 can't you recreate them from scratch by copy and paste of information and everything else set up fresh? Maybe just maybe it was a flux on the copies you made just for that day.

This has been going on all week. The 9 that didn't post was after they told me it was OK to post again.
My regular gig is a Realtor and I am setting the eBay thing up as a retirement type business. I do not have time to play around with trying to do this and lets try that. The first post started on Monday but that was after going through the weekend trying to get stuff straightened out. It is easier to just list off of Turbo Lister than to sit here and play with something that no one knows anything about. I am also not going to pay for something I can not use. That really is the bottom line.

Bill,

I have over 6000 items in my store, and do it with turbo lister, and ebay seller manager. It works very well.

Sorry to hear your going Bill. You may not be the last to leave as many of us are really tired of waiting months to get things done around here.

My listing time has increased at least double because if i use SM PRO i then have to go and then change everything in either e-bay or send it to sales manager to "fix" it.

All you get is that you are a big cry baby from the support staff.

ebay vet what is your secret to linking the images to turbo lister from vendio. or am i just assuming that you are using vendio for images?

I don't use vendio for images, a simple ftp program and some server space work quite well.

There are a lot of places to store photos for your images. I have been using turbolister ever since it first started and my slaes manager. I have 1,000's of items to list and I was looking for something that made it a little easier. I also like to experiment. This is just a part time gig for me (even though sometimes I spend full time hours) and I need something that gives me ease of management. Eventually this will be my fulltime part time gig. I enjoy the freedom to do what I want when I want and I want to be able to do that soon. I can never quite working but I do not want to be tied down any more than I have to. That is why I got fed up with the program here. Deur1 thanks for the link I will check it out.
I am going to be 55 in April here and I refuse to have to sit around waiting to find out if something will work and then find out it doesn't. My time is vauable just as everyone else who has a business doing these things are. If there are problems I do not want to be part of it.

Bill - did you know the images are missing from your auctions? Were they linked to the Vendio account you cancelled? BTW - welcome to the 55 club (I joined in March) I was devastated to learn that I now qualify for the senior discount at the movie theater and Dennys!

Neglus,

Yes I am going to have to change those photos. They contacted me this morning but I was doing my real estate work and since I did not reply they sent a message that everything was canceled. They have my phone number so you think they would have called. LOL

That's right I will get the senior discount now. WHOOPEE! I guess it will not be that bad.

I remeber years ago ('73 or '74) when they dropped the speed limit to 55. Boy that burned my but and then I thought it would probably be a miracle if I make it to 55. I guess miracles do happen.

Bill...Don't forget the senior discounts at the thrift shops. They add up to an increase in your profit margin. The downside to reaching the double nickle is that an otherwise beautiful day can go to hell when you go to the mailbox and only have 2 pieces of mail. An invitation to join AARP and an advertisement for a prepaid funeral plan.

Senior discounts are great! Don't be too proud to ask for them; most waiters and clerks aren't supposed to ask you for fear of offending you (if you're really 35 and LOOK older). And AARP insurance is fabulous; we both have it, here, after my husband spent weeks and weeks making charts and studying all the med. insurance plans. We're extremely happy with AARP.

Roadsmith...I know what you mean. It's nice when you have to ask for the discount. But when you walk into a new place, and they apply it automatically, that's when you know you're getting old BTW....Didn't you have a knee replacement in the past? I'm curious because my wife had the proceedure done on Monday of last week, so I've been busy the last couple of weeks doing her footwork for her.

Sparkz: Yes, I had my knee replacement surgery the middle of September; it's been nearly 7 months now and I am VERY happy with the results. After a few days in the hospital, I went to a rehab place for two weeks and just rested, ate, slept, exercised, got worked over by the rehab people. That was a smart move. Tell your wife to do the exercises -- and get physical therapy if available. It's worth its weight in gold. I'd be happy to talk to her and encourage her along the way, if you think that would be appropriate.
