Wow!!! $110 for shipping that!!! Talk about padded shipping. AND SOMEONE BOUGHT IT!!!

It's not their only item with super high shipping charges. If you check some of their other items for sale they also have very high shipping charges. I don't think they are going to last long if they keep this up. Makes you wonder how they have kept their 100% feedback rating.

Note that the buyer has received a neg from the seller for "refusing to pay". Perhaps buyer thought the shipping fee was a typo and neglected to clarify the amount?

Where, oh where, is the 'report this item' button. I did not think I would like it but this person needs it!

there's still a "report this item" at the bottom of the page for this auction (same seller) .99 cents for a cell phone - $85.00 for shipping.

take the fee circumvention tutorial

http://pages.ebay.com/help/tutorial/feecirctutorial/intro2.html

"Ben can add reasonable shipping and handling fees to the final price of his item, but can not charge excessive handling fees in an effort to make the item appear artificially inexpensive to avoid eBay fees, or for other purposes. In this example, if it costs Ben $2.95 to ship the item and he lists the item for a Buy It Now price of $0.01 with a shipping and handling fee of $7.95 to make a profit, this is considered excessive handling fees.

The practice of using excessive shipping and handling to offset a lower starting price, bid price, Buy It Now price, etc. or to assure a minimum price is achieved, is not allowed. Doing so creates a bad buying experience and increases the chance of negative feedback, Unpaid Items, and loss of buyer and seller trust in the marketplace."

If you do further investigating, you will find that he/she has been a buyer primarily. He last 2 visible items appear to have been normal shipping fees. It is just these most recent items that the shipping fees are excessive. So how long will he last on Ebay until they do something? Will they do anything to sellers who try the fee avoidance routine?

Why oh why don't people realize that being deceitful and trying to screw people over is damaging to oneself, others, the planet and the universe.

I've reported auctions just like this. The seller was offering small items for $.01 or .99 with shipping from $29 to $49. NOTHING was done...
