idiot buyers who do not pay for their items from leaving negative feedback. What did they propose at the last Ebay live? I have tried to find my notes but can't.
Can anyone update me on the stupidity on Ebay's part to allow these cretins to leave negative feedback when they are the ones in the wrong.

There was a few stipulations to the new rule. First, if the bidder does respond to the non-payer dispute, then they can leave a negative feedback.
There is also a stipulation about bidders that have only been members for a short amount of time (the time frame eludes me at the moment), not being able to leave negative feedback. But if they are members over that amount of time, they can.
Sounds like your person qualified for at least one of the stipulations.

Seems like that was to be the new rule but I can't find anything on it either.
I've got a newbie that must have registered just to bid on a $300 items of mine - never paid of course. I reported them and got my FVF back but I'm ready to leave them the big fat negative that they deserve.

I had a buyer who responded to the non-paying bidder process with the equivalent of "Ha Ha, too bad. You can't make me pay." He then left me a negative and eBay would not remove it because he responded on the dispute board, even though his response was cr*p.
Doesn't seem fair to me.

Thanks Stop for the info.
Unfortunately, she did respond to the UPI. I did leave her a negative telling the truth that she didn't pay for the item.
Jtomp: I hoped that you took the time to write an appropriate response to that negative.
Ebay should still modify that program more to protect their sellers not the buyers.
